Trouble Caused By Our Very Own

Now the bad news. Bakary is one of the kids who have been with us the longest, and he has a very special place in my heart. When he was 3, his parents died and he ended up on the street, going door to door to find food. We took him in when was around 4 years old, and now he is 16 and doing great at caprentry school. He has quite a calling on his life.
I never told you that a few weeks ago street children who spend the night with us stole in the neighborhood, which caused them to gather to harm us. A lot of neighbors don't want us because we bring the children into the neighborhood, but also because we're Christians. Paul was able to diffuse the situation, trying once again to make them understand that these kids simply spend the night with us and that we're not responsible for their actions.
Now it was Bakary whole stole a phone from a neighbor. Paul's argument was not holding any more. Thankfully it was a neighbor who actually has a positive opinion of us, and who had appreciated Bakary so far. It's now very common that people kill thieves right away. If not, they are taken straight to prison. Paul was able to prevent both from happening. He sat down to talk to the neighbor and is paying him the value of the phone. However, it increased the animosity in the neighborhood against us, as news spreads fast.
And all our hearts are broken that Bakary would do something like that. He's usually a model kid, and he can't explain himself why he did it. He sold the phone cheap and spent the money.
Please pray for Paul, pray for Bakary, and pray for all our children. Please pray also for funds to be donated as we have to pay school fees for the next year, and don't have the money. Thank you.
