Day 1966. Sammy was the first one up as usual. It was already 7:10, when Randy called to him to go back to sleep. But once he was aware what time it was, it was clear that we needed to get up. We put thermal ski underwear on Tammy and Emmy and a ski sweater, then we all went to breakfast.

Day 1965. At 6:45 am the alarm went off, and Randy got up to make breakfast. Sammy was too excited to eat anything. A little time later I also got up. I made the 8 sandwiches for our trip, then helped the kids get dressed. We were going to take the 8:50 train, but were already ready to leave the house by 8 am, and so we did.

Day 1964. Thank God the past night was better than the night before. But my first alarm already went off at 6:30 am. Randy got up and made breakfast, and I was able to get Tammy and Emmy up to go eat. At 7:30 my second alarm went off, but I was already on my feet before then. At 7:45 we all left the house together, over half an hour earlier than usual.
