Day 2132. As expected, the kids were up early because of jetlag, but they had slept all night which was great. The cat came into the room, when we opened the door, much to the kids' delight. Sammy was still a little wary of the cat. We all got up and got ready for the day and drove to Randy's mother's house where we had breakfast.

Day 2130. We walked to the Hertz Gold counter where we were supposed to pick up our car at 11 pm. But it was 12:30 am or later, and no one was there. I was surprised the doors even opened. Hotels didn' have shuttles after midnight either, and so we had no choice but to stay at the airport until they'd start working again at 7 am.

Day 2129. After 4 hours of sleep, the alarm went off at 5:30 am, and Randy got up. I had set another alarm for 6:30 am for myself, but Randy got me out of bed before that. I got up and went to work, emptying the dishwasher, making sandwiches with the remaining bread and a bunch of other things that needed to be done.
