HEALING 2 THE NATIONS INTERNATIONAL
Ask of Me, and I will make the nations your inheritance. (Ps 2:8)
It's been a tough day (and night). Last night both Sammy and Emmy needed feeding. But Sammy didn't drink as much as usual, and so he was up earlier than usual. Randy got ready to feed him - it was still before 3 am - and that woke Tammy up, so I ended up feeding Tammy. And all morning it seemed I hardly got to sleep, helping out with the babies. And all that while I had set my alarm to get up earlier than usual, because we were planning to go to church in the afternoon, and so I had to change my eating schedule (week 4 of my diet). Well, they kept us on our toes all day, until we left at 4 pm.
One time Tammy crawled on her brother's back, and he wasn't too happy about it, though he laughed as well as complained (video uploaded). And they love this sound board so much that every time I put it in front of them (it's not in bed permanently), they both go for it, and sometimes fight over it. It was a busy day.
And it got busier, leaving the house in the evening for the first time in months. I had forgotten how tiring it is to go to church with triplet babies. Sammy had just fallen asleep when we had to leave, but the other two hadn't slept yet. It was cold outside, and rainy, so we had to dress them warmer. All three ended up sleeping on the way there. It was our first time in church in months; we had to wear masks while walking around, but could take them off while on our seats. The service is now shorter than it used to be. We were busy with them the whole time, as it didn't take long before they woke. We shuffled babies around between us; we didn't think anyone was allowed to help us, and it was only at the end a friend offered to, and we let her take Tammy. Sammy did a lot better than he used to back in the day, and actually smiled a lot. He seemed to enjoy the presence of God! Emmy was watching with fascination the young men worshiping God in the row behind us. And Tammy just had to move the whole time, keeping me on my toes.
After the service, it was so good to talk to friends again, after such a long time. We ended up being among the last people to leave the building. It was 8:15 pm when we got home, which seemed a lot earlier than we used to. The boys never fell asleep, though they were tired, but Tammy fell asleep just as we reached our building, and she was sleeping well. Usually Sammy goes to bed at 5 pm, and the other two around 6 pm, suddenly it takes them until 7 pm, so they were way beyond bed time. And we payed a price for it!
We changed the boys, put their pj's on, and I put them to bed. Then I got the girl who was still sleeping. She was not happy for me to wake her up and ended up screaming on the top of her lungs the whole time I changed her. She was so tired! Once I held her, she was fine, and after a few minutes I put her bed, and it didn't take long for her to fall asleep.
It was a different story for Emmy. He was still awake, and crying, so I fed him some milk, held him for a while, and then he finally accepted being put to bed. However, some time later he woke up again and kept screaming - until I picked him up and gave him some more milk. He then fell asleep and I put him back in bed. It sure has been a long day! Randy is sleeping on the rocking chair (instead of bed), and I need to crawl into bed myself.
