HEALING 2 THE NATIONS INTERNATIONAL
Ask of Me, and I will make the nations your inheritance. (Ps 2:8)
Do you even still want to hear about my nights? It seems that I always start my posts with that. Last night all three needed milk, between 2 and 3 am, one after another.
This morning I had to leave the house at 11 am. That meant Randy had to feed all three today; I did not envy him.
I finally went back to my doctor for a check up. I had set some goals with her, and if/when I reach those, I pay less health insurance. One of them was to lose weight, and I had now reached it (having lost 11 kilos), which is why I went back now.
Well, I was shocked when my blood pressure was off the charts! It had normalized after giving birth, so I had even stopped measuring. I don't know why it was so very high. That meant having failed that goal, and I have to wait before my insurance gets reduced. I was devastated. I now have to measure at home again and come back in a week. If it's not low enough, I'll be put on meds. Not what I had expected from my visit. And now I'm anxious about my blood and urine results.
Once back home, Randy had finished feeding them, and it was time for us adults to eat. At 1:45 our friend Christine came to visit. She's a family helper with Caritas and was sent to us to help and ended up being with us for 4 months, until the end of February. This was her first time back, after 4 months, and she loved every second of seeing the babies again. I also had a great time reconnecting with her. With the move ahead, I actually asked them whether we could have her for a few days (it's a paid service), but they never even responded.
Well, the pictures speak volumes of how much fun they all had. At first, Tammy looked really skeptical at her, but it didn't take long for them to warm up. I'm sure they recognized her.
Tammy continued trying to stand up today, as you can see on the pictures and one video. One of these days she'll succeed!
Late afternoon Tammy was so tired that she just cried and I had to lie down with her for her to fall asleep. Randy started feeding Sammy his last meal, and Emmy fell asleep while he did, so they were both sleeping, while Sammy finished and was put to bed for the night.
Randy went to the grocery store, but Emmy woke up and started crying before he was back. So I gently slipped out from under Tammy to get him and started feeding him, standing near our bed so she would not wake up and fall off. I was changing him when Randy returned, and then Tammy woke up and Randy picked her up. She was still tired and cranky, to the point that I could not feed her much, as she was just crying.
Well, both Tammy and Emmy ended up playing some more time. Then I put Emmy into his bed, as well as Tammy. As soon as I start praying for them, they know it's bedtime and start crying. It seemed like Emmy was gonna make it without having to be picked up, but then I had to give Sammy his pacifier back, and when Emmy saw me, he went frantic, and it was over. So Randy held him for a while. I then put him to bed, as Tammy was crying and needed rocking. Emmy was finally okay being in bed. I was a little worried when Randy fell asleep, and not Tammy. To make it short, after a long time she finally fell asleep on him and I put her to bed.
