HEALING 2 THE NATIONS INTERNATIONAL
Ask of Me, and I will make the nations your inheritance. (Ps 2:8)
I was extremely tired last night, but that is of no relevance when your babies are hungry. Once again I fed both boths during the night. This morning I did get up later than usual. It worked out well, because the girl was sleeping while Randy was feeding the boys, and so she ate later.
Emmy was tired, but sometimes he just gets frantic, even starts shaking, and wants to be picked up, instead of just falling asleep. I had just finished making my food and taken the first bite, but he had worked himself up so much that I decided to help him out. I lay down with him and held him tight against his will until he fell asleep. After some time, I gently slipped out and was glad he continued sleeping. As our bed is high and not safe, I went to get my (not so warm) food and a little stool and ate sitting right next to our bed.
Tammy did a LOT of sitting today. I guess she enjoys her new-found skill. Not only that, tonight I saw her stand completely upright in the just lowered bed, holding onto the railing! She's 7.5 months old biologically!
Besides sitting, crawling on top of her brothers is her favorite activity, and barely have we freed a boy, is she back on top of him.
This afternoon, something really rare happened, though only for a short time: all three were asleep at the same time! Wow! It was so quiet!
After they had eaten their last meal, had been changed and put their pj's on, both boys had been put to bed but I had to hold Tammy as it was time for Randy to lower the bed. It took a lot longer than expected to do so. Unfortunately Emmy was crying really hard, and I ended up putting Tammy in the swing and picking up and holding Emmy. After a while and more than one try, he finally was okay being put to bed, and so I picked up Tammy again, as Randy was nearly done with the bed. I was hoping all that holding time she had tonight, and it getting later, was enough for her to fall asleep right away. Unfortunately not. She started crying harder and harder because she wanted to be rocked to sleep. I was at my desk around the corner. When I went to her bed to pick her up, she was standing holding onto the railing of the bed. I also saw that she had one foot between the bars, so I'm not sure if she got stuck or thought she was or what. I picked her up, comforted her, and once again Randy rocked her and himself to sleep. I knew she was tired, and so it did not take her long to fall asleep. I then moved her to her bed that is now a lot lower.
