HEALING 2 THE NATIONS INTERNATIONAL
Ask of Me, and I will make the nations your inheritance. (Ps 2:8)
Last night Emmy needed milk - he hadn't eaten much at his last meal, but I wasn't asleep yet. To my amazement it was after 4 am before Sammy needed milk. Normally that's their getting up time and Randy takes care of them, but I fed him and went back to bed. That gave Randy more time to sleep too.
The morning was rather busy with holding babies, trying to get them to sleep, but Tammy was wide awake, so I ended up playing with her and trying to keep her from the tissue box she discovered the other day. I also held Emmy, who I managed to put to sleep, as he needed it bad. So, busy morning instead of sleeping.
And then it gets busy once I get up, mix the food up, feed a baby, cook for the adults, eat, and today, get ready for church. They were all awake when it was time to leave, but we left late as they all needed to eat another meal. At least they didn't need coats!
We only had one (long) subway ride to get there, then a short walk. This was our first time back to my home church since Corona shut it all down, and I wasn't sure what to expect. We had to get someone so we could take the ramp into the building instead of going through the front there and have an usher tick off our names from a list. The service had already started, and we got two seats in the back of the building, with a stroller on each side. All the chairs were spaced out.
Emmy had fallen asleep on the way to church, and was still sleeping. Randy took Sammy out and held him the whole time. He soon fell asleep on his shoulder.
I took Tammy out and put two blankets on the floor to put her on. She loved her freedom and went for it! Crawling everywhere, off the blanket, making eye contact with people, and making herself heard. Once Emmy woke up, he joined her. A couple of times they were laughing together, and surely most everybody could hear it. They found two pieces of paper and started crumpling them up and tearing them apart, which they enjoyed greatly.
And now the milestone reached: Tammy sat up all by herself for the first time! She did it! And I didn't get to take a picture!
The two were really active for the whole service. I had to keep getting up to adjust the blankets and bring Tammy back. Towards the end she was getting tired and I put her back in the stroller. Once we left to go home, she fell asleep.
I held Emmy at the end of the service, and we enjoyed reconnecting with some of our friends before having to leave. It had been way too long to see everyone.
On our way home, I had the stroller with Sammy, and he was fine the whole time. It was Emmy who was fussing, not wanting to be in the stroller. Tammy was the only one asleep. I'm actually glad they now have two services, and we can go to an earlier one, so that we get home earlier and don't mess up their going-to-bed time completely.
Once home, I got their evening meal ready, and we feed them one after another. They even got all their three meals today! I then changed them, put their pj's on, and put them to bed. Now that it's so hot, I got the summer pj's out that Sammy is showing off on the picture.
The boys fell asleep quickly/right away, but not so Tammy. We ignored her crying for the longest time. Then I went over to her and came close to her, stroking and talking to her, trying for her to calm down and go to sleep. It didn't work. So Randy started rocking her again, but she was wide awake at that point! Randy was more tired than her. I finally put her back to bed, without her having fallen asleep, but she accepted it and went to sleep in her bed.
