Another night where both boys needed feeding. And this morning I had to get up extra early because it was time to go baby swimming for the second time.
We walked the kilometer down to the swimming pool. What a difference to last week, when it was cold and rainy. Today was the first real hot day!
Today I only have one picture, from the very end, when they were already changed back into their clothes, and Sammy was asleep. Today I had Tammy, and my Mom Emmy, and Randy had Sammy again. They did really great. At one point they gave us a swim noodle each that we put under our arms, around the baby. That way we did not have to hold the baby at all, and it gave them liberty in the water, with only our bellies/chests behind them. Sammy absolutely loved it! He was smiling and moving, and moving his legs. When we were done with that and had to return the noodles, he started crying, he was so upset. That was the end of it for him. Randy had to leave the pool with him. Thankfully it was already near the end of the lesson. When he walked off, he asked about their milk bottles. That's when I realized that we had left them at home! That's the first time that has happened! Poor Sammy could not get any milk, when this was already the time they usually get their first solid meal. He cried for a long time before he fell asleep on that mat on the floor.
Tammy was again a little cautious and not smiling much in the water. Emmy was laughing and smiling most of the time. When it was time to leave, Sammy woke up and was not happy. Once the stroller was moving, he was fine. He actually did not fall asleep again and was not even crying on the walk home! I was proud of him! Tammy fell asleep, and Emmy was unhappy, wanted out of the stroller.
As soon as we got home, we quickly warmed up their food and fed them. Tammy continued sleeping in the stroller for a long time, so all her meals were later than her brothers'. I ended up feeding Emmy twice today, and the only way to get him to eat halfway through is to jump and twirl with him in my arms! Now that would be a video you'd enjoy! Good thing it's me taking the pictures, not Randy. 😊
I was so very tired this afternoon! For a few minutes I succeeded in closing my eyes. Then Randy carried Tammy to me, saying she was tired and needed help falling asleep. Yeah, right! She was wide awake and exploring our bed. She spotted the tissue box on the window sill and went for it. She pulled out tissues and started tearing them apart. What fun!
Sammy last meal was pretty late as well today. I put him to bed when he was done, and it would have been Emmy's turn, but he was asleep. I finally fed Tammy, and Randy left to go to the grocery store. When I put her to bed, she started crying, as always when it's bed time. Her crying woke up Emmy who also started crying. And Randy wasn't there! I picked him up and held him for a while, then started feeding him. He did not eat much; even jumping did not help. He was just tired. So I gave up and put him to bed. He hardly complained at all but fell asleep, and for once, did not wake up a little later asking to be held.
Tammy was still awake and crying, and once Randy was home, he had to rock her to sleep again. Thankfully I was able to transfer her from his chest to her bed without her waking up.
Hoping to catch up from last night's sleep deficit tonight!
