This morning they were all up extra early, and we both started feeding them, then Randy went on to change them. I fed Tammy a couple of hours later, when Randy was fast asleep on the couch, and she was crying for food. She also fell asleep in my arms, and we both slept together in our bed.
After our lunch routine of getting the 5 of us fed, we had to leave the house to go to Sammy's weekly physiotherapy session. This week his siblings got to go along again, for the second time. I had to wake both Tammy and Emmy up to put their jackets on and put them in the stroller. Sammy had already been awake for a while.
Physiotherapy started at 2 pm. Emmy was really cranky because he wanted out of the stroller, and Sammy was also cranky, so Randy tried to get more milk into him. We always undress them all to only wear their bodies, and put them on the mats. We're planning on getting some mats like that for the new apartment.
This time she started working with Sammy to help him learn to turn from his back to his belly. He did pretty well, but his not quite there yet. While she was working him him, Tammy and Emmy were all over the place, picking up the different toys. At one point she pointed to Tammy and said that that movement is the step just before she can sit up on her own. She's so ahead, that girl!
After a while Sammy had had enough; it had been a while since he had slept. We had already comforted him at one point earlier, but at that point there was no more comforting possible. The therapy session was over. We got them all dressed and back into the stroller. After a while Sammy fell asleep. However, as soon as we're home and the stroller just sits there, he's awake!
We skipped the middle meal, as the last meal of the day was coming up, and they had all had milk while away. Sammy lets you know when he's hungry, and Tammy was hungry too. We fed those too, while Emmy always has to wait. Then I started bathing them one after another and putting them to bed.
If only it had been an easy night, but it wasn't meant to be. And Randy went grocery shopping, so I found myself alone with two screaming babies, Emmy and Tammy. What was I gonna do? Normally we each hold one of them. So I took them both and took them to our bed with me - the only way to have them both.
I held Tammy and had Emmy next to me, then switched it around. One cried, then was fine, then another cried, and was fine, then they smiled and laughed at each other, next minute they cried. They were sure tired. And they were both moving all over me and the bed. Finally Randy came home, and I tried to put both Emmy and Tammy in their individual beds. Emmy was fine, thank God, but not so Tammy. Randy ended up holding her and rocking her to sleep, while taking his own nap. I finally picked her up and put her to bed and let Randy continue sleeping.
Randy keeps packing things up, but we're at the point that we need what is not packed. Somebody tell him to stop packing everything!
