HEALING 2 THE NATIONS INTERNATIONAL
Ask of Me, and I will make the nations your inheritance. (Ps 2:8)
Last night was tough... of all nights the one where I had to get up early in the morning. Both boys needed feeding in the middle of the night; usually they go straight back to sleep, but last night Emmy was awake and would not let me put him down. I took a while before I could put him back.
This morning I had to get up 2 hours earlier than usual, and I felt it all day; I'll have to go to bed earlier tonight.
We had to leave the house at 10:15 am to go babyswimming for the first time. Sammy and Tammy had slept before, but not Emmy. He fell asleep in the stroller on the way there.
It's thanks to Corona that this course came up and had free spots; every time I'd look before I only found full courses. And an extra blessing was that it was in walking distance, just 1 kilometer away. We were glad it had stopped raining when we left home.
My Mom met us there, as we needed a third adult for the third baby. We parked the strollers outside the "bath house" and went inside, where we had to take our shoes off right away. Even with a third adult, it's all not that easy with 3 babies! We went to the changing rooms and changed the babies into their swim diapers. We got two second-hand cheap, and ordered adjustable ones that only arrived yesterday. They all fit perfectly and they looked great!
We locked our stuff up and went inside. There was still a baby class going on in the whirlpool, so we had to wait. We met the lady whose daughter was the fourth baby of the group. She took this picture of us. I wished we could have had pictures of all of us while in the water; the teacher said she'll take it some other day. I did take a picture of Grandma and Tamara, right after they went in. Tammy wasn't so sure about all this water! She looked a little skeptical for most of the class (which lasted 30 minutes).
I had Emmy, and he loved it all! He was laughing pretty much the whole time! Our happy boy! I actually accidentally dunked him under a little, and he didn't mind.
Daddy had Sammy, which was a little more challenging; some stuff was hard for him, and he tends to put his head down, so he was sipping water when his mouth went under. One time he got a little choked. He also got cranky, but thankfully Daddy had his pacifier with him. I think he enjoyed it for the most part.
The time went by fast. We were told to leave as swiftly as possible. Another challenge, changing three babies back into their clothes, and then ourselves, and gather everything up. Especially when there's only one changing table. It took us a while. We had to put our shoes back in while holding babies, and carried them back to the strollers. We said our good-byes to my Mom, and started the 1 km journey back home.
Tammy was so very tired when we left, but she never fell asleep, and was playing for a long time when we got home. The boys both slept in the stroller; Sammy woke up once home, but Emmy slept a long time in the stroller.
It was pretty late for their lunch meal, so we fed them right away. I knew Tammy was REALLY tired now, and it's worked well recently to put her in the night bed to be able to take a nap undisturbed. She fell asleep right away and slept a long time. I had to cook for Randy and me, and after we had eaten, I also lay down a little, but never slept.
Before long it was time for their next meal. As it was much later than usual, we fed them the middle meal, but it was already Sammy's bed time, so he went to bed after it. Emmy never got his last meal either, but I did feed it to Tammy, as she was hungry.
Randy had to leave earlier than usual to go pick up a second changing table that we'll need in the new apartment. Emmy and Tammy were still awake and playing at that point. I asked God to make tonight easier than the last few days, when Randy was with me, and he heard my prayer. After I had fed Tammy, she was tired, and she didn't fuss long before falling asleep.
Now Emmy was a different story. I fed him a little milk, but he was still unhappy and crying and wanted me to hold him. I was working in the kitchen, listening to him cry, and hoping he'd just fall asleep. Thankfully he did; sometimes they just cry harder and finally you HAVE to pick them up. Tonight nobody had to be rocked, praise God!
I did sit right next to their bed for a while before/when Randy left (by the way, he came back empty-handed). Emmy was trying hard to get to me, and then I saw him for the first time be on all fours! Tammy has been doing that for a while, but not Emmy. Several times he got on all fours for only a few seconds each, but it's a start! You can actually see it in the video I uploaded.
