HEALING 2 THE NATIONS INTERNATIONAL
Ask of Me, and I will make the nations your inheritance. (Ps 2:8)
Emmy likes getting close to the others and pinching and hitting them. He's now tried to gouch out both Tammy's and Sammy's eyes. This morning Sammy's who was pretty red right under his eye. You've really got to keep an eye on them, and I wonder what it's gonna be like when they're older! You can put them in opposite corners of the bed, but both Tammy and Emmy move easily, and always end up close to each other. Poor Sammy sometimes gets caught in the middle; he's not moving around at all.
This morning I was rocking Sammy to sleep, and then Emmy, so my morning was pretty busy again (which is when I should be sleeping). The babies were much quieter, though. Emmy slept long in my arms, Tammy slept in bed, and in the end they ate their lunch about an hour later than usual. Normally it's Sammy who is first as he gets so impatient.
We decided to start with a third meal a few days earlier than planned, as they have not wanted milk in the afternoons. So this afternoon, about 3 hours after lunch, we gave them cereal with fruit (millet with apple and banana). Sammy loved it, Tammy too, but it's Emmy who gets so fussy and hard to feed halfway through a jar.
Both boys took a nap after the second meal, but though Tammy was tired, she just never fell asleep, whether in bed or in the swing. At 5 pm we joined in a Zoom church service, and had Emmy and Tammy with us while Sammy was sleeping. Emmy fell asleep on me, and Randy fell asleep on Tammy, I mean, he fell asleep holding Tammy who was very awake and not keeping still. Sammy woke back up and needed his third meal, so Randy fed him his cereal with milk. However, he was not successful, took Tammy to change her diaper, but with me Sammy was happy to eat, so I fed him. And all this while participating in the church service!
Randy then fed Emmy, just in time before he had to leave again to pick up motor skill toys for the babies. I tried to feed Tammy who was by then so extremely tired as she had never fallen asleep, but she would not eat, only cried. It did not take long for her to fall asleep on me when I put her in her "sleeping position" in my arm. After a while I put her into bed as she was, with only a diaper on, planning on feeding her when she woke up hungry.
That happened at 9:15 pm. I had just started feeding her, when Randy came back from his trip with two full bags of (second-hand) toys. I cleaned her up, changed her diaper, and put her to bed, where she continued sleeping. Not that much later, I fed Emmy some milk.
In between I was working on finishing the March/April photo book of and for the babies, so it can be printed, but I'm a little behind. Now it's time to slowly head to bed myself...
