HEALING 2 THE NATIONS INTERNATIONAL
Ask of Me, and I will make the nations your inheritance. (Ps 2:8)
It's been another long day. This morning Sammy had physiotherapy again, and this time it was Randy who went there with him. So he left at 9:45, and I stayed with the other two. They kept me busy most of the time the boys were gone. I had just started feeding Tammy, when they returned.
At 3 pm my Dad came with his girl-friend. We hadn't seen them in 7 months, last time still at the hospital when the babies were there. Back then he didn't dare hold them, but now they're big enough. Especially his girl-friend loved interacting with the babies. Emmy was scared at first again, but it seems that every time he sees strangers he gets over his fear faster now.
Both Tammy and Emmy were already tired when they came, as they wouldn't sleep before that. So they were pretty tired the whole time, but of course there was too much going on to sleep. At some point though, Emmy fell asleep, Sammy fell asleep, and Tammy fell asleep in my arms and I then put her down. So for a few minutes all three were sleeping, which is rare. Sammy was the first to wake up again. By the way, I've noticed that Sammy is smiling more now, and seems happier more often.
Tammy hit a milestone today, when we suddenly heard her say "dada" in the playpen. She's now officially the first one to say a word and to say "Daddy". All the while it was Emmy who did a lot of talking today.
After my Dad left, all three were crying at the same time. It was time for the last meal of the day, and they were tired as well. Tammy wanted me to hold her, so did Emmy, but sometimes you just can't. I got their food ready as quickly as possible and started feeding Tammy, while Randy fed Sammy, who goes to bed first, so Emmy had to wait.
Well, it was Tammy who had a hard time falling asleep tonight. The other two were already sleeping, but she was still awake, very awake, and every time we put her down she'd cry. And then she fell off the couch - I won't say how that happened! That's her second fall ever; the boys haven't had any yet. After that, I lay down in bed with her and she soon fell asleep in my arms. When I put her to bed later, she was fast asleep and just kept sleeping.
While I'm writing all this, Randy is already packing stuff we don't need into boxes, for the third day in a row. The deadline for the documents is Monday at noon, and while we've sent everything, we don't know yet if all the documents are acceptable to them, or they want something else. We're a little jaded from the ordeal the permit for Randy was last year. So now all we can do is wait to hear from them Monday - and pray.
