HEALING 2 THE NATIONS INTERNATIONAL
Ask of Me, and I will make the nations your inheritance. (Ps 2:8)
First of all, a big thank you to all those of who thought of me and wished me a happy birthday! It was definitely not a day like any other. I got to see my brother and nephews (I hadn't seen in 5.5 months), and my Mom came by with her husband, so it was a really busy day. It was also a day with toothpain that I've had since yesterday, just after finally finishing the last root canal. And tonight a lot of frustrations with computer and other troubles, not being able to resolve getting that one document the city is asking for to give us the subsidized apartment. But I believe your prayers have already made a difference and given us an idea of what to do.
The morning was like any other - except for finding flowers and a note from Randy. We were busy with the babies, and knew we needed to be done by 1 pm when my brother would come. It was stressful trying to get ready in time, and for me to cook and both of us to eat as well. I was thankful when my brother said they'd be late. Then when he arrived he said they didn't want to come in but for us to come out and go for a walk with them. At that time we had 2 babies crying. Tammy was so tired, she wanted me to hold her and would start crying really hard as soon as I put her down, but I had no choice. It took a while before all three were dressed and in the stroller and ready to go.
We walked to a nearby park where my nephews enjoyed the playground, while we kept walking around with my brother. It was nice to catch up.
Once back at the apartment my Mom and her husband were already waiting for us. They had 2 hours to spend with us. I had bought some cakes, and so everyone had cake and coffee - and I had my fruit (day 7 of my diet). At first my Mom's husband wore his mask, that he then took off, and in the end he held Emmy. I also tried to take another picture holding all three, but did not get a good one. We had a great time with Grandma and Grandpa, and after a while Emmy had lost his fear again. The 2 hours are always up too quickly.
Tammy was so exhausted as she had not slept since before meeting with my brother, so again, she wanted to held. As Daddy was exhausted too, they ended up taking a nap together. I finally had to put Tammy to bed and wake Daddy up as it was time to start feeding them their last meal of the day.
After they were all done, Tammy was not ready to sleep, so she needed to be held for a while. Once she was back in bed, it didn't take long before Emmy woke up again and would not be comforted. I held him for a while, and ended up feeding him, and put him back to bed, while I already heard Sammy crying to be fed. All the while I was trying to get different things sorted out.
Now it's later than it's been, and I need to go to bed. And that was my birthday 2020. As my Mom wrote in her birthday card, I'm now approaching 50! But Mom, that's still 3 years away!!!!
