HEALING 2 THE NATIONS INTERNATIONAL
Ask of Me, and I will make the nations your inheritance. (Ps 2:8)
I would call today Tammy & Sammy day! They sleep together at night, and Tammy always moves close to Sammy to sleep. Today they slept really close to each other during the day as well. And I've got the cutest picture of both of them together later in the day.
However, it's become a full-time job to watch them now. Tammy has become really fast with her pre-crawling, going where she wants to go. Emmy also has his ways of going where he wants to go, which is more like rolling. Only Sammy stays in place. Because of that, as soon as you have separated them, they move together again, and while it's the cutest thing to watch them play together, it always ends with someone getting hurt. Today I had to run to get Emmy away from Sammy. For some reason Emmy loves putting his fingers into eyes, and he keeps doing it. I found him with his fingers on Sammy's eyes, who was not happy.
Another time I ran because Emmy was screaming. This time it was Tammy who had gotten back at him. When they are close to each other, I watch them real closely, ready to intervene when necessary. Another time, Tammy was right next to Sammy, and she was kissing him. But then he took her arm and was throwing it around, hitting Sammy. I was filming at that time and quickly dropped the camera to move her away from her brother.
Thankfully Randy is sitting right next to their bed for much of the day, but still, it's really tiring to have to watch them so closely so they don't hurt each.
The past night was also busier and more exhausting than usual. Tammy was screaming in the night bed, so we moved her to the day bed where Emmy was. However, you cannot have another baby sleep with Emmy. Some time during the night I jumped out of bed and ran because of Tammy's scream and picked her up. I don't know what and if Emmy had done anything, but he was right there next to her. I ended up keeping her in bed with me where she slept some more time in my arms.
And Sammy also had a rougher night than usual. In spite of all that, I got up earlier than usual this morning. I've been feeding Emmy more often as he sometimes gets impossible to handle because he just wants to get away, but he does that with me too. We're always trying to distract or entertain him to get the food into him.
Sammy impressed today when he ate his whole jar, one or twice. They had pumpkin for lunch, and they do like that a lot. He ate all his dinner, just before going to bed, and he had a little bit of a hard time before falling asleep. Tammy fell asleep right away, but Emmy also had a hard time and needed to be rocked. He fell asleep but woke up again, and thankfully found his rattle that made him happy, and rattled him to sleep eventually.
So it was really a day like any other, except that on my first Mother's Day as a mother, I did find a bouquet of flowers and a note this morning that Randy had written in the name of the babies. He even took the babies' hands and drew their outlines on a paper!
Other than that, I uploaded all the documents the city asked for so we can get the subsidized apartment, did office work, joined an online service, and lived through day 3 of my diet.
