Today was a tough day, with all three fussing a lot. Yes, they are teething. All morning, when I should be sleeping, I was holding babies, and rocking babies to sleep. And really I also did the same the rest of the day. Randy went shopping when I had just lied down with Tammy to comfort her and rock her to sleep. I was tired myself, have been all day. She fell asleep, but Emmy was screaming. I knew she'd be awake if I put her down to get Emmy. As his screaming increased, I finally got up and put her down. She slept a few minutes more. I took Emmy to bed with me, and did the same with him, rocking him to sleep. Now it was Sammy who started screaming louder and louder. What to do? He'd be awake if I put him down. Finally I had to do something. I gently removed my arm from under Emmy, left him on the bed, and got Sammy, and returned to bed to rejoin Emmy. I was rocking Sammy to sleep, while stroking Emmy's head from time to time. All seemed good for once. Then Tammy, alone in their big bed, started screaming again, and then Emmy woke up. What to do now? I couldn't let my girl have to scream like that. I got up with Sammy and gently put him in the night bed by himself. He woke up. I then picked up Tammy and took her to be with me, rejoining Emmy. She was not sleepy. So I was playing with both of them. Then I picked up Sammy, who was awake, to join us as well. And that is how I ended up with 3 babies in our bed, and they were a handful, as they were wide awake!
Like I said, I was really tired all day long. Last night Sammy and Tammy both needed to be fed TWICE, and Emmy once. Sigh. Since they had all been fed once, I was hoping they might sleep through the rest of the night and went to bed. It's so tough when you go to bed at 1:30 am and half an hour later, when you've just fallen asleep, you already have to get back up. That's when you're REALLY tired. I fed one baby, and then the other one, and went back to bed.
Today, they got a new food to try for lunch - Spaghetti. They enjoyed it! I ended up feeding Tammy both at lunch and dinner time, and both times she didn't just eat her cup, but some of her brothers' leftovers. Sammy has not been eating enough recently; today he only ate half both at lunch and dinner time.
And it showed at their weekly weigh-in tonight. Tammy now weighs 6.49 kilos (+240 since last week), Emmy 6.31 (+100) and Sammy 5.68 (+30). She's clearly in the lead again!
Randy has been watching the videos of Sammy's physiotherapy that we filmed back then to work more effectively with him. Today he did some more exercises with him. But as things change fast at this age, those exercises are already outdated. I hope physiotherapists start working again soon.
