Day 2053. Randy and the kids left just before 8:30 am. They dropped off Sammy at kindergarten - his first time there in over a week after having been sick - then continued on to the pediatrician at the other end of town. A doctor looked at their hair and said that there were still lice eggs. Just great! We've tried two shampoos over the past few months, and she prescribed a third shampoo and told us to leave it in the hair overnight.

In the meantime I was home and getting some more sleep. When they got home around 11 am, I got up and started cooking lunch, then we all sat down to eat. When Sammy got home at 12:40, I had a plate ready for him as well, as he often wants to eat, even though he gets lunch at kindergarten.

After lunch I went downstairs with Tammy and Emmy to do piano practice with them. They then all stayed downstairs, while I went back upstairs and made sandwiches for them. At 2:50 Tammy, Emmy and I left the house together - without our scooters. We took the subway, then the tram and walked to the dance studio where Emmy's breakdance class started at 3:30 pm. Tammy and I stayed in the locker room - Tammy on her tablet, me on my phone, and I walked inside from time to time to see what Emmy was doing and take pictures. They were having fun. In the end they always do a round of freestyle and Emmy was called upon on first. Then we got dressed and wanted to leave. But the teacher had brought some Easter candy for the kids, so Emmy first went to him to get his candy, then we left.

We walked to the tram stop and got on the tram. After we got off, we walked to the school where their ball-playing class was taking place. Randy and Sammy weren't there yet. They got changed, and then they arrived, which was my cue to leave. I normally stay there, but two students that are not regular needed a lesson and so I needed to get home to teach, as that was the only time possible for me to do so. I made the 4:38 pm bus and was home by 5 pm. I cut up their fruit to have their plates ready for them, and at 5:20 pm I sat down to teach.

I taught for two hours, until 7:10 pm. Randy and the kids came home during my short break between the two students, and they sat down to eat their fruit. Once I was done teaching, they put their pj's on, then it was time to do the new shampoo to get rid of the lice eggs. I did Sammy first, then the other two, applying the shampoo to their hair and massaging it in. That's how they went to bed. I had no time to read them a story, as I had a student at 8:10 pm, so Daddy told them one instead.

I was done teaching at 9 pm, then went to the kitchen to get myself something to eat. By about 1 am I was in bed, but it always takes me a while to fall asleep, and both kids joined me in bed before I did.

This morning I had to get up with everyone else as I had to wash out their hair. I had washed out Sammy's hair last night as I was concerned he'd touch his hair and then put his finger in his eyes. This morning I first combed and washed Emmy's hair, then Tammy's, then my own. Randy left with all three kids once they were ready, while I went back to bed for a while. They dropped off Sammy at kindergarten, then continued on to the pediatrician again, like yesterday. This time the doctor said they were clear of all lice and eggs, so they got their paper they need to go back to kindergarten. As for me, my alarm woke me at 10:30 am, and I got up to prepare for my 11:15 am lesson. I was really tired. Randy and the kids returned home before I got started. I taught until 12:30, then went to the kitchen to put a pizza and lasagna into the oven as the kids were hungry. They had some pizza, as did Randy and Sammy once they got home at 12:40 pm. Once the lasagna was done, those of us who'd had no or little pizza ate it.

After lunch, I went downstairs with Tammy and Emmy to do piano practice with them. It's 3 weeks between classes, and as it's already too slow-going for them, we're now working ahead in the book, which will probably make it boring later. After we were done, I went upstairs to work on the computer.
Randy and the kids also came upstairs after a while. Normally Sammy stays home with me, while Randy takes the other two to their exercise class, but Sammy wanted to go to the playground, and so Randy took all three. They left just after 3 pm. He dropped Tammy and Emmy off at their exercise class, then took Sammy to the nearby playground. Later they returned to pick up Tammy and Emmy again and go to the train station to take the train home. They missed the earlier train and got home at 5:30 pm.

I was thankful for the rare occasion of afternoon time alone at home. I had plenty to do but felt terrible, my head hurting. I tried to rest but things I had to do kept going round in my head, so I just got up to do them. I finally took some headache medication which helped a little. I then got some more work done. At 5:30 pm, when they got home, I had a student. I had their sandwiches ready for them, so they could eat while I was teaching.

At 6:20 pm I was done. Given the way I was feeling I was glad that my 8 pm lesson was moved to tomorrow. I went to the kitchen to cut up their fruit to eat, then started cutting my vegetables for my salad. Once they were done eating, it was time for them to go in the bathub, where they ate some more. Then we got them ready for bed. We finally had story time again, as I was not in a rush tonight. I prayed for them, then they brushed their teeth and went to bed. I returned to the kitchen to keep working on my salad. Randy then left to make a bread pickup. Unfortunately Sammy was not asleep yet and started crying so I sat down by him and sang to him until he had fallen asleep. Then I could finally go and eat my salad. It was about 9 pm. After having eaten, I went back to work. Now it's after 1 am, and I have yet to take care of the kitchen.
