HEALING 2 THE NATIONS INTERNATIONAL
Ask of Me, and I will make the nations your inheritance. (Ps 2:8)
Day 2033. Tammy, Emmy and Sammy are sharing a double bed in our Airbnb, and Sammy had a rough night last night. He was crying, and I had gone to him twice, then sent Randy next time. Randy returned, but then he started crying again. As Emmy had come to lie down next to me, Randy then took Emmy's place and slept next to Sammy. Still, Sammy was up very early, and the other two kids also earlier than usual. I tried to get much-needed sleep having gone to bed late as usual, but there was no chance. The kids were loud all morning and coming into my room, and all my asking them to be quiet and not come into the room were for northing. It was quite frustrating.
At 9:30 am my alarm went off, and I got up to get ready for my 10 am student. I then had two students, teaching until 12:30, and I needed another 15 minutes to wrap it all up. I hadn't even eaten anything yet, but was ready for us to go have lunch.
We had passed a McDonald's on the way here yesterday, and it was easiest to just go there. We got into the car and drove the 5 minutes there. The kids were happy about the dinosaurs in the Happy Meals, and we all had a good time eating. Then we drove back to the house.
I was tired and lay down. After a while Tammy came to lie down next to me. She had gone to bed late last night and gotten up early this morning. I was amazed, when I saw that she was serious. Emmy was on his tablet, so he was quiet, but Sammy was playing with the door, which kept us up for a while. Once he quit, we finally fell asleep. And Tammy slept quite long. I was up before her and enjoying the peace and quiet.
At 5:30 pm we were getting ready to leave the house. We got into the car and drove the 5 minutes to the church, where the missions conference was starting tonight. We walked in, got our welcome packet, and were shown where our table was. Then we went to the where everyone was eating and got dinner for all of us. We found a place to sit down and enjoyed the gulash soup. The kids started talking with the people around us, and there was someone we knew well we briefly talked to.
After having eaten, it was time to set up our table. Randy put up the poster, which is a little tricky, while I set up the table. Then we took a picture in front of it. I later sent it to Paul who was happy to see it.
Randy left with the kids at some point, then I followed and discovered that they were already in the kids' room. Randy stayed there with Sammy, while I returned to the sanctuary, where the meeting started at 7:30 pm. I enjoyed the time of worship, then they started talking. It was after 8 pm, when Randy and the boys walked up to me. The boys were very tired, and Emmy was saying his belly was aching. We decided we needed to go to the house. We picked up Tammy from the kids' room and got dressed and left to walk to our car. Then we drove the 5 minutes to the house.
Back there, we got them ready for bed right away. It was Sammy once again who needed the longest to fall asleep and who needed Daddy to sit by him. I turned my computer on to download the pictures and write my report. However, I had some urgent paperwork to get done first, which took me a while. Now it's after 12:30 am and time for bed, as we have another long day tomorrow.
