Day 2022. This morning Randy took the kids to the playground after breakfast, which meant it finally got quiet for me to continue sleeping. I woke up earlier than expected at10:30 and slowly got up. At some point I put the soup on the stove to warm it up. At about noon Randy and the kids got back home, and we sat down to eat.
After lunch, I did piano practice with Tammy and Emmy. Then I continued doing office work. The kids went right outside as Emmy wanted to play soccer, and Tammy wanted to run her scooter. Later I went to the kitchen to make their dinner-to-go boxes, and at 4:15 pm we all left the house together to go to church.
We took two subways and got to church right after the service had started. We hadn't been there in a while. We found a seat, and Tammy and Emmy went to the front to draw. Sammy stayed with us at first. I was holding him up, and he was dancing, then Tammy gave him a streamer. Then Sammy also went to the front to draw.
At 5:30 pm I left the sanctuary with the kids to take them to the kids' program. Randy stayed in the sanctuary for the service. Most kids were already in the back, in a circle, and we joined dthe circle. They were doing a name-learning game with a ball. Sammy was getting hungry, so I got his box out. Then it was time for two worship songs. I was holding Sammy up so he could participate. Emmy was throwing some pillows and hit Tammy on her eye. She was hurting bad, and was hurting for the rest of the day. She stayed close to me after she was hurt.
Two young men then started the teaching part, talking about salt. They had two bowls of popcorn, one with salt and one without, and the kids had to tell the difference. They did a great job teaching on what it meant to be salt in the earth. Even Sammy participated today - probably because of the popcorn.
After the teaching, they had crafts prepared, and Tammy was excited for it. Emmy didn't stay there long. And I got the box with Duplos to play with Sammy. The two of us had a great time. Later Emmy also joined us. Tammy then showed me the flower she had made.
It was 7 pm, so we packed up and left to go back to the sanctuary. We were looking for Anna, but she wasn't there. And so we put our jackets on and left. We walked back to the subway and took two subways to get home.
By 8 pm we were back home and got the kids ready for bed right away. After they were in bed, I got myself something to eat. After having eaten, I went back to work. Now it's going on 1 am, and I have yet to take care of the kitchen.
