Day 1988. This morning I helped to get them dressed, then I went back to bed. Randy then took them to kindergarten. I woke up before 10 am and got up to get ready for my 11 am student who then canceled on me. I did some work on the computer, then went to the kitchen to make lunch. Randy left to go pick up Sammy, while I sat down to eat. When Randy and Sammy got home, Randy quickly ate, then left to go pick up the other two. Sammy and I played together, while I also tried to do some scanning for my students.

Randy and the other two kids got home at 2:15 pm. I then started teaching at 2:30 pm and finished at 3:20 pm. Then I got the kids ready, as well as myself, and at 3:45 we all left the house together. We took the subway, then the bus, then arrived at the dance school. It was Tammy's last class with her teacher, as she's switching to the Friday class. And Emmy has been saying for weeks that he wants to try out ballet, and that was his chance as all the schools are on break this week, as well as all their classes - except ballet. And so I registered him for this try out. And there were a lot of kids there today to try the class out. Because of Sammy, I was the only parent allowed to stay inside.

And they all had fun. I was surprised at how much fun Emmy had. But it wasn't just plain ballet moves, but lots of games they were playing, more so than usual. Sammy really enjoyed the music and did some dancing, with me holding him up. When the teacher had them go from one end of the room to the other a certain way, Sammy also went across.

Randy had stayed outside, and a few times Sammy wanted him to come inside but went outside to him instead. When Sammy would leave, I had to leave too, but we always soon returned to the class. In the end, the teacher played a game, and Sammy ended up where the winner usually is, and the teacher sat down by him and played the game helping Sammy be the one who called out the words to the others. It was really sweet to watch. Throughout the class. Sammy would often look for his sister and go to where she was, and Tammy took really good care of her brother.

After 50 minutes the class was over, and we went to the locker room to get dressed. We were some of the last ones to leave, and the teacher then came up to me and told me how impressed she was with Emmy. She said he had so much energy and that he should be in a dance class. I then told her that he was taking a Breakdance class. Emmy had also surprised me today, when he did a cartwheel in class that was pretty good.

We left the dance school and walked to the bus stop. We had just missed the bus and had to wait 10 minutes for the next one. After the bus, we took the subway home. Randy then walked to the bakery to pick up a surprise bag of leftover baked goods for a third of the price, while I took the kids home. Back home, I went to the kitchen to make their dinner, and they started eating. Randy was soon back home again. While they were eating, I started teaching at 7 pm - a time when I usually don't teach. While I was teaching, the kids went into the bathtub, then Randy got them ready for bed. Once I was done, all I had left to do was to pray for them, read them a story, and put them to bed. Then I went to the kitchen to get myself something to eat. After having eaten, I went back to work.
