HEALING 2 THE NATIONS INTERNATIONAL
Ask of Me, and I will make the nations your inheritance. (Ps 2:8)
Day 1992. This morning I helped to get the kids ready for kindergarten, then lay back down in bed and got some more sleep. At 10:30 am I got and got ready for my 11:15 am student. I then taught until 12:30 pm. Randy and Sammy actually got home a few minutes before I was done. Once I was done, Randy left to go get the other two kids, while I warmed up leftovers to eat lunch, and I also gave Sammy some food while I was eating. He then played with the door - his favorite activity - while I was getting ready for my 2 pm student. Randy and the kids already got home at 1:45 pm.
I taught until 3 pm, then it was time to get ready to leave the house. I got myself and the kids ready, and at 3:15 pm we all left. We took the subway, and then the bus, and walked to the dance school. Emmy was registered for his second and last ballet try-out session. And for Tammy it was the first Friday class which is now when she'll be going to ballet, which means she has a new teacher.
Tammy put her new dress on today that she had wanted to use as a carnival costume. However, she got a different one now, so she wore this ballet dress today. Like last Monday, there were a lot of kids in the class today, and a few that were there for the first time for a try-out. The teacher came up to me and said that she already knew me from back when the kids were little and came to do children's dances. She was their teacher for some time. Because of Sammy, I was allowed to stay in the room. Sammy was then in and out throughout the 50 minutes, and when he was outside, so was I. But he was having fun, and he enjoyed dancing, and also mingled at times. He didn't go to Tammy all the time, like last time.
The class itself was a lot more technical than the Monday class, with only one game at the end. Tammy and Emmy did not have as much fun, and Tammy said afterwards that she wanted to go back to the other teacher. Unfortunately that is not possible. I hope she'll get used to this teacher and will still enjoy ballet.
After the class was over, the kids found out that there was a children's disco starting right after and said they wanted to stay for that. As I didn't have any more students, we actually had the time for it, so I said we could stay for a little bit. Tammy got changed, and at 5 pm we went back into the dance studio.
It was the same teacher as in ballet, but not quite as many kids as before even though many had stayed, and a few more joined in, including boys. It was actually also a class, but this time with kids' songs that they were dancing to, much like the way the class was that they took, when they were little. The kids had fun, but they were getting hungry, and Tammy was the first one to be ready to leave. So we left after about half an hour.
We took the bus and then the subway; Tammy was whining a lot about how hungry she was, and it was obvious that she was also pretty tired. By 6 pm we were back home, and I immediately got her some food, then made food for everyone. Randy left after a while for a pick-up of cheap baked goods. Sammy was in the kitchen with me, and we were playing. I got Sammy laughing a lot, while I was also putting food into his mouth. After I had gotten all their food ready, I started cutting up vegetables for my salad. That took a while. After I was done, it was high time for the bathtub. It was already close to 7:30 pm. I was surprised that Randy wasn't back yet. The kids got into the bathtub and had fun. Randy returned while they were still in it. Then we continued with our typical evening routine. I put Sammy to bed, then read a story to the other two and put them to bed. Then I finished my salad and got to sit down to eat. After having eaten, I started doing some work. Now it's 1 am, and I still have to take care of the kitchen. I'm glad we're not going anywhere tomorrow morning.
