HEALING 2 THE NATIONS INTERNATIONAL
Ask of Me, and I will make the nations your inheritance. (Ps 2:8)
Day 1967. Sammy is our alarm clock, and he didn't fail us today either. When I looked at the time, it was later than yesterday, after 7:30 am, but we also had more time today then yesterday, so it was fine. We got up and got dressed and went to breakfast.
After breakfast we returned to our room, where we still had some time until we needed to get ready to leave. I put the ski gear on Tammy and Emmy and left with them, while Randy took Sammy to the kids' room for a while, but he didn't really want to stay there long.
When we got to the ski boot room, there were people everywhere so that it was hard to even get a seat. I put their boots on, then we picked up our skis and stood where the van picks everyone up. We had to let two vans go before there was room for us to get on. It's in the van that I took their picture.
We got off the van on the bottom of the hill, walked into the ski school area and asked where their teacher was. Then we went to their teacher and group. Everyone was still gathering. Tammy and Emmy both did snow angels on the ground, and Emmy was throwing snow balls at me. Then I said good-bye and walked away. The lady driving the shuttle knew I wanted to come back up the hill, so I stood by the street waiting for her. I could see the kids go to the lift with their teacher. When the driver hadn't come after having waited for quite some time, I started walking up the hill. It was a little slippery at times. Half-way up the hill, I saw the van approaching and got on. She had come just to get me, as there were no more kids needing to be driven down the hill.
I went to the room where I found Randy and Sammy and lay down for nap. Sammy woke me up at about 11:40, which was earlier than necessary. At noon we went downstairs to get Tammy and Emmy, as that was the time they were supposed to get to the hotel. The ski instructors were taking them all back to the hotel, and when we got to the door, there they were. They had just arrived. And they'd had lots of fun skiing today. We all went back to the room so they could get changed.
It was lunch time, and we sat again by the window, even though the sun was shining very bright through it. I had told them we needed two kids meals that we had to pick up where the supervised kids were, those that were eating together because their parents were off skiing. They had chicken nuggets and fries today. There was also a buffet where we got our food.
We had a good time eating, then we left to go to the kids' area. At 1 pm it's always crafts time. Today's theme was knights and princesses. After a few minutes, they got started making a castle, and it turned out well. Sammy and I were playing with the balls from the ball pit; we were throwing balls at each other which Sammy enjoyed.
I was getting really tired and lay down on the ground, while Randy played with Sammy elsewhere in the room. Then I decided it made more sense to go to the room to lie down. Sammy also wanted to go back to the room, so we went together, even though that meant no nap for me. We lay down in bed next to each other, but it was play time the whole time.
Just before 3 pm Randy and the other two returned, and we put our bathing suits and bathrobes on. Then we went to the bar area for cake and coffee. But first Tammy and Emmy played the piano piece on the piano there again so they'll be ready for their concert this Sunday.
After we were done eating, we went to the pool and had lots of fun again. At 4:30 we got out and went back to the room.
I though there was a magic show a 5 pm, but got the days mixed up. When we got there at 5 pm, there was nothing, so the kids started playing by themselves and had lots of fun. Then they closed that area for cleaning, and we went inside to the supervised area. Tammy wanted me to read her books, so I read one after another. Emmy joined us half-way.
Soon Sammy arrived as well. It was nearly 5:30 pm, and at that time Happy was coming. It's the hotel's mascot. The teacher pretended she didn't see him but was looking for him. The kids kept pointing at him, hiding behind the pillar. Then she found him and talked to him, asking him questions, before they put a song on that they all danced to. The teacher then talked with Happy some more, and Tammy and Emmy came all the way up to him, especially Tammy. Sammy was still a little scared, but he was okay being next to him for the group picture and individual picture. Happy then hi-fived all the kids, and Sammy wanted to do it as well.
Then it was dinner time, and we went to the dining room together. Tonight they had a buffet for everyone, so we could all get whatever we wanted. By 6:30 pm Tammy and Emmy were done and ready to go back to the kids' room, as they started their supervision again at that time. I took them there and returned to the dining room to finish my dinner. Sammy was playing on the floor after he was done eating. When the waiter had come to get all the dirty plates, Sammy wanted him to take his. He could carry only so much at the time, so Sammy kept shouting "Mann" (man) so he'd come and take the rest. It was funny. Eventually he did come. And then Randy took Sammy to the icecream bar to get some icecream.
Some time after 7:15 we were also done and went to the kids' area. Sammy wanted to go to the room, so Randy went there with him, while I stayed with the other two kids. Besides them, there were only two other kids, and all four were playing wildy with each other. Then a few more kids arrived, as they had a good-night story at 7:45 pm. Emmy was very tired and didn't want to stay, so I took him upstairs to our room, then came back down to wait for the story to be over and take Tammy upstairs as well. She'd become friends with the girl she'd been playing with, and Emmy has made some friends as well.
Back in the room, it was time to get ready for bed, and they all fell asleep quickly. It was time for me to turn the computer on for the first time today and download all the pictures to choose from and then to edit. Randy sat in the chair watching videos on his phone and fell asleep. Eventually he got up and went to bed. Now it's midnight and I'm done, so maybe I'll get to go to bed earlier tonight.
