Day 1961. We were going to go to church on Sunday night, but it did not turn out that way. We've all this same virus, but not everyone is affected to the same degree. Emmy has had it worst, and he's been sick for two weeks, and he's still coughing bad. He's also the only one who's had elevated body temperature repeatedly. With our upcoming trip on Saturday, we were a little concerned, so Randy took him to the hospital on Sunday right after lunch. It took hours, and by the time they were home, it was too late to go to church. As expected, it didn't help much, but at least it was ruled out that he had pneumonia. On Thursday I'm taking him to a doctor for ears, throat and nose as the hospital said that his tonsils were swollen.

Monday was a holiday and the last day off during this Christmas holiday. The nights have been difficult for me, with Emmy being sick, as he's spent more time in my bed, on my right side, while Tammy is on my left, and he's been really restless so that I have not been able to sleep well or much. And as they're not leaving or kindergarten in the morning, I have not been able to really sleep in the morning either. After I got up on Monday, I made lunch, then I had to get ready for teaching 4 hours in a row, something I had not done in a while. And as I myself have not been doing very well, it was quite tiring, some students being more tiring than others. I was glad, when I was done.

But today it was the first day of back to school and things back to normal. Randy and the kids left the house after 8:15. I had made some calls, trying to get Emmy a doctor's appointment, but nobody ever picked up the phone there. So he went back to kindergarten with his sister, and Sammy was also very excited to finally be going back. As for me, I was glad to go back to sleep and actually get good sleep, being the only one in the house.

After I got up, I made lunch and then had some, still being the only one in the house. Randy had gone to the grocery store after dropping the kids off, and had left again at 11:15 to pick up Tammy and Emmy earlier than usual. By 1 pm they were back home. Randy grabbed something to eat and left the house again to go get Sammy and take him to therapy. It was the last session with this lady, and she took him behind the building to where the animals were. Sammy then got to feed the rabbits and guinea pigs.

At home, I went downstairs with Tammy to do piano practice, then it was Emmy's turn, but it turned bad quickly, and then he didn't want to continue. We said we'd do it tonight, but that never happened.

At 2 pm I started teaching, and when I finished at 2:50 pm, we left the house right away - with our scooters. We took the subway and then the tram, then rode our scooters to the dance school. We even got there earlier, even though not being first. Emmy changed his shoes, and then the breakdance class started. He was having fun but then he had a cough attack and came to me. It lasted for a few minutes, then he rejoined the group and continued the class. They were doing some quite difficult moves.

Tammy stayed in the back room, where I also was for most of the time, and he did some drawing and a puzzle. When the class ended at 4:15 pm, we left, rode the scooters to the tram stop, took the tram for 3 stops, and rode the scooters for one bus stop to the school where the ball-playing class was taking place. We got there early and had plenty of time to get changed, then we went inside the gym. Randy and Sammy arrived a few minutes late, and then Michi, Sammy's friend, also walked in.

Tammy and Emmy were busy with the class, having fun there, while the rest of us were sitting along the wall. Michi and Sammy were playing ball with each other and talking, but Michi and I were also doing a lot of talking. I think we all had fun.

Before we knew it, the class was over. The kids had to get dressed, then we left and walked to the bus stop. Thankfully the bus came quickly, and we rode it home. It was still a good walk home from the bus stop. They had already had their bread with cheese or salami on the way home, and back home I cut up fruit for them to eat. Then they went into the bathtub. I still had time to read them a few pages in the book, prayed for them and put them to bed. Then I sat down at the computer for another student.
I taught until 9 pm, then I went to the kitchen to get myself something to eat. After having eaten, I started working on today's pictures and wrote my blog.
