HEALING 2 THE NATIONS INTERNATIONAL
Ask of Me, and I will make the nations your inheritance. (Ps 2:8)
Day 1949. This morning I was not able to sleep uninterrupted, with the kids waking me up. At 10:30 I got up for good, and Randy left to go to the grocery store - only to find out that everything was closed today. At 11 am I started teaching and taught until noon. Then I went to the kitchen to make turkey noodle soup with the leftovers. The kids were impatient to eat and happy, when we sat down to do so.
After lunch, everyone did their own thing for a while, then we got ready to leave the house and left at 2:20 pm to walk to the subway. I had bought the tickets to this special event weeks ago; it was only in town for two weeks. We took the train and then the tram, then had to walk quite a bit to get to the event hall. I had never been to that location before even though they do a lot of events there.
When we walked in, it looked quite impressive with the high ceiling and the red carpet. We showed our ticket and entered the event. There was a big arch with the word "dinosaurs" right there and we walked through.
Tammy, Emmy and I ended up staying together, while Randy was with Sammy who was a little scared of all those moving dinosaurs making all kinds of noises. Emmy had the time of his life, laughing and running around, showing off his knowledge of what the dinosaurs were called, even though he was not always right. We followed the path, looking at the dinosaurs to our left and right. They also had a few baby dinosaurs out that you could pet. Sammy was too scared to do so.
When we had reached the end of the walkway, we found a stage with lots of people. They had a show going, but it ended just as we got there. Too bad.
There was also a photo corner and a food court, as well as the activity section. There was a little train that Sammy was eager to get on; his brother sat down next to him, while Tammy wasn't interested in going. And so the boys went first, doing three rounds around the dinosaurs. Then Tammy did go as well. They went a few rounds, then Tammy and Emmy had lost all interest and wanted to move on. Sammy was upset and crying as he didn't want to get off the train.
Tammy, Emmy and I walked on as they had already seen the jumping castle and wanted to get on. Right next to the castle was also a blow-up slide that they went up and down on. I stood there watching them for a while, when Randy rolled up next to me with a screaming Sammy. He wanted to keep riding the train. As Randy didn't want to take him back, I took Sammy into my arms and walked to the train with him. He was so very happy! He then ended up taking the train for at least a dozen times, if not up to 20 times. One time he was even the only child in the train. He only got off when the guy in charge said he was leaving for a break. And when I got him off then, he did not protest or scream or cry.
We found his siblings riding on dinosaurs that were moving and watched for a while, then Sammy rode on one as well.
Emmy wanted to go back to the jumping castle, and Sammy wanted to go there too. However, by himself he really can't do anything there. At first I stood at the edge with him, making the castle move up and down so he'd laugh. Then I ended up crawling up with him to make it more exciting for him. He lay on me, while I jumped up and down with him, which he greatly enjoyed. It was all very tiring, though, and at one point I just couldn't go on, so we got off.
We had done everything, so it was time to go home. But first they wanted to get into the mouth of the big dinosaur, and all three were in there together, as it was moving around with them. Then we walked through the store to the exit.
The cold air was coming our way, so we put our coats on and left the building to walk back to the tram. We had spent 2 hours at the event. The tram took us to the train, but we had just missed one and had half an hour to wait, which we did in the warm subway under ground. The kdis were watching Mr Bean videos with me. When it was time, we took the elevator to the train level and took the 6 pm train home.
Back home it was dinner time, so I got their food ready. After having eaten, they went into the bathtub, then we got them ready for bed. Once they were in bed, I got myself something to eat, then I started working on the many pictures of the day.
