Day 1923. Saturday, our busiest day of the week, especially when we go to church as well.

We left the house at 10 am and took the subway downtown, then walked to the music school. Sammy never went into the classroom but stayed outside with Randy. I went into the classroom with the other two kids.

Their teacher did pretty much the same stuff he had done on Thursday night, when we did the make-up class. He plays everything really slowly which is too slowly for Emmy who can play those songs fast. Half-way through the class something happened. Emmy got upset, then refused to play, then even cried. He didn't participate during the second half of the class. The other kids did the singing without him, while he sat on my lap holding on to me. He returned to the front for the final story.

After they had received their stickers and stamps for having practiced this past week, we went outside and all got dressed to leave. We walked to the tram stop, rode the tram for two stops and got on the subway. After we got off, we walked to the McDonald's opposite the swimming pool. We had a good time eating, then crossed the square to the pool. We paid and walked around the building to the wheelchair entrance, then went to the changing room to get changed for swim class.

Then we went inside and walked to where the swim class was happening in the pool. We waited until the previous class was over, then Randy went into the pool with Tammy and Emmy. I'm still not allowed into the water because of my operation, so Sammy and I sat by the pool watching the others. But Sammy did not want to wait for half an hour, until the class was over. I then took a swim noodle, and we headed to the warm-water baby pool. I put the noodle around him and sat down on the side of the pool. That way my wounds were not in the water, but Sammy was and I could take good care of him holding him by the noodle. It worked out great. Once the class was over, Randy and the other kids also came into the pool, and Randy was able to take Sammy and give him some more freedom in the water.

They had lots of fun for a while, playing with other kids from their class, then they got out as we still had to go to church. We got changed and left and took two subways home. By 3:15 we were back home which meant we had one hour. I lay down for nap, but everyone stayed upstairs so it was too loud for me to actually fall asleep. At 4 pm I got up to get ready for us to leave the house. At 4:15 pm we all left.

We took the train, then the subway, and got to church just before the service started at 5 pm. The kids had fun on the floor during worship - Tammy with Sammy, and Emmy was doing Breakdance. After about 20 minutes they all left for the kids' program.

I stayed in the sanctuary and had the opportunity to share for five minutes, telling about our church's 20-year anniversary and the court case against us that was going on right now. Then the preaching started.

I was very tired and could hardly keep my eyes open. At 6:20 pm I went to the kids' room, and Randy was also ready to go home, so we got dressed and left. We walked through the mall to the subway, and when we got to the train station, we were lucky that we only had to wait about 4 minutes until our train home arrived. And so we were home by 7:15 pm.

The kids sat down to eat, while I cut up some fruit for them in the kitchen. Then we gave them a quick wash before putting their pj's on. Emmy especially wanted to see their advent calendars for tomorrow, so I gave in and got them out. They each have a candy one and a toy one, and then somebody gave them a chocolate one each. They were excited to see them, and I put them up for tomorrow. Then I prayed for Sammy and put him to bed, then read a story to Tammy and Emmy, prayed for them, they brushed their teeth and went to bed. Then I got myself something to eat. After having eaten, I started working on today's pictures.
