HEALING 2 THE NATIONS INTERNATIONAL
Ask of Me, and I will make the nations your inheritance. (Ps 2:8)
Day 1934. The first three days of this week are already over. I've been blessed to be able to sleep every morning, after having gotten the kids ready for kindergarten, which is going to change tomorrow. On Monday I had a student, then my second one canceled, and so we made a switch on short notice. I ended up going to ballet class with Tammy, while Randy took the boys to Emmy's soccer class. Tammy has her performance on Saturday, and so they practiced their dance in class. I have to say that she really does not know the choreography. Many of the other kids go to ballet class twice a week, which Tammy doesn't, so they have an advantage. And Tammy's teacher changed their dance late so they all do the dance that the other teacher taught them.
On Tuesday, Sammy has his therapy at 2:15 pm, but it was his last one, it seems. He's now going to start with horse therapy again instead. Randy picked up Tammy and Emmy first and brought them home, then went to get Sammy to take him straight to his therapy. I taught until 2:50 pm, then I left immediately with Tammy and Emmy to take them to Emmy's Breakdance class.
Tammy was drawing while Emmy was in class, bus she came to watch a few times, when I'd go to take pictures, and the teacher encouraged her to join him. She didn't want to, but later I was surprised, when she suddenly joined the other kids. And she did pretty well doing the freestyle, in the middle of the group, being watched by everyone. As for Emmy, I was amazed how hard the moves were that the teacher tried to teach them. One was to stand on your arms and lift your legs into the air.
After the class ended at 4:15 pm, we took our scooters and rode to the tram stop, rode it for three stops, then rode our scooters the one bus stop to the school where their ball-playing class is taking place. We were there before Randy and Sammy. The kids got changed and went inside the gym, where I sat down on the floor.
After a few minutes Randy and Sammy arrived. Sammy immediately asked for his friend Michi, but he wasn't there. He kept asking why, but I had no idea. I felt bad for Sammy as it was the third week in a row that he wasn't there. I tried to cheer him up that I was back, as I hadn't been there in weeks myself, because of the operation and then our Caritas helper taking my place. And so Sammy was playing ball with me.
And then I saw Michi walking in late. I told Sammy to look that direction, and his face lit up when he saw him. I was so happy for him! Michi sat down by us and starting playing with Sammy and talking with him. We also ended up talking and finally exchanged phone numbers. That way I can know in advance whether he's coming and prepare Sammy for when he's not.
Tammy and Emmy also had fun doing the games, though there were some tears when they got hurt. The class ended five minutes early, and that we were able to catch the earlier bus (that does not come often) which was great.
Today Sammy went back to the private physiotherapist as he hasn't had physiotherapy at the center in months and is not scheduled to have regular therapy again. The therapist is great, but the disadvantage is that we have the cover half the costs ourselves. Randy took him there, and they had a great time.
While they were there, I took Tammy and Emmy to their exercise class. I had a student right before, and once we got home, I had another student minutes later. Then I made their dinner. In spite of all our busy-ness, I've been able to fit in piano practice times with them every day.
