HEALING 2 THE NATIONS INTERNATIONAL
Ask of Me, and I will make the nations your inheritance. (Ps 2:8)
Day 1928. On Tuesday Sammy had his weekly ergotherapy session and Randy took a picture of him with his therapist. While they were there, Tammy and Emmy were home with me. I had students from 2 to 4 pm. Christine came before 2 pm and then left with Emmy at 2:45 pm to take him to Breakdance class. At 4:15 pm Randy left with Tammy and Sammy to take them to ball-playing class, where Christine and Emmy met up with them. Sammy was sad that his friend (a parent) hadn't come for the second week in a row, but at least Christine stayed there, making it a little bit easier for him.
On Wednesday I had a student in the morning, then Randy picked up Sammy and brought him home and left again to pick up the other two. Christine already came at 1:15 pm and went downstairs to play with Sammy. I had students from 2:30 to 4:30 pm. Randy returned with the other two at 2:30 pm, and they all went downstairs.
Just after 3 pm they already needed to leave again for Tammy's and Emmy's exercise class. Christine was supposed to stay home with Sammy, but Sammy was holding on to Daddy and crying because he didn't want to let go of him. And so it was decided that Christine and Sammy were also coming, and they all left. It was Christine's last day with us. Randy returned home with the kids after 5:30 pm, and after they had eaten, I still went downstairs with them for their daily piano practice.
Today I was able to sleep in again in the morning, and I've been getting up later and later, going to bed around 2 am most nights. Randy picked up Sammy and brought him home, then ate, and only then left to go pick up the other two. He returned with them rather late, at 2:45 pm. I went downstairs with them right away for piano practice, then I had some printing to do in my office downstairs. I went upstairs to teach at 4 pm. At 4:15 pm Randy left with Sammy to take him to his weekly wheelchair class.
After I was done teaching at 5 pm, I went to the kitchen to make the kids' dinner. They ate, then went into the bathtub. Then Sammy arrived and joined them there, and I fed him his food there.
After our daily evening routine, we had something special yet to do. The kids got their biggest boots out and were excited to put them outside our apartment door so Saint Nicholas could fill them with nuts, mandarines and candy during the night. Even Sammy came out of bed for that. Who knows how early they'll want to open the door in the morning to check on their boots!
