HEALING 2 THE NATIONS INTERNATIONAL
Ask of Me, and I will make the nations your inheritance. (Ps 2:8)
Day 1851. This morning I lay back down after Randy had left with the kids to take them to their kindergartens. My alarm went off at 9:30, and I got up to get ready for my 10 am student. I then taught two students, until noon. Randy then left to go pick up Sammy and returned home with him at 12:40 pm. He left again a few minutes later to pick up Tammy and Emmy. Sammy and I had a good time together, just the two of us.
At 2 pm Randy and the kids came home. Randy had lunch and left with Emmy just before 3 pm to take him to his dance class. The other two stayed home with me. Tammy and Emmy now have a general dance class (mix) together, and Emmy does break dance on his own, while Tammy does ballet on her own. Those are the perfect fits for them. He greatly enjoyed his class today and said he did a headstand today. Unfortunately Randy didn't take any pictures.
I had a student at 3:30 pm, which worked out great as Tammy was home to help with Sammy. After I was done, we got ready to leave the house. As Randy and Emmy were only coming home about 20 minutes after we were leaving, Tammy had to come with us. Sammy had been excited all day that his sister was coming along to his wheelchair class.
And so Tammy was holding Sammy's hand as we were walking to the bus stop. We took the 4:30 pm bus, then had to take a second bus. Sammy was impatient to arrive. Tammy was really sweet with him the whole time, playing with him. Once we got off the second bus right where Tammy's and Emmy's kindergarten is, we started walking in the opposite direction to the school, where the wheelchair class takes place. When we got there at about 5 pm, there was already a good number of people there, even though the class only started at 5:15 pm. There were also some people I hadn't met before. We all said hello, and then walked into the school. We took the elevator down to the basement where the gym is.
Together with one of the two teachers the three of us were the first ones in the gym. The others slowly joined us. Tammy was playing with Sammy until they were all present. Everyone then gathered in the middle to say hello. There was one other sibling, a girl about Tammy's age. Then they started playing games. They had a little puppet that one person had and the others had to catch. Tammy and the other girl not in a wheelchair did a lot of running. When Tammy had caught her, she still wouldn't give up the puppet.
Then they played another game, where one group tried to catch those in the other group. The teachers kept encouraging Sammy to roll his wheelchair and to use both hands to go straight. That's what he needs to learn/practise.
Then they played a game, where one group had to hide figurines around the room, while the other group had to find them. Tammy and the other girl were completely involved the whole time, and Tammy was having lots of fun. After 45 minutes Sammy asked me about going home, but thanks to his sister being there he was able to last another 15 minutes until the class was over. For the last game one person always had to pretend to sleep, and I think that made everyone tired. We were glad, when the class was over, and we could leave to go home.
It was pretty late for them. Sammy had already eaten his bread with salami on the way there, now it was Tammy's turn to eat her bread, and she gave half of hers to Sammy who wanted more. We walked to the bus stop and didn't have to wait long for it to arrive. However, after we got off, we waited a long time for the second bus, and then we waited a long time on the bus for it to start moving, as it was the final/first stop of its route. Sammy was getting impatient, and we called Daddy and Emmy. We all had a good time on our video call. Then the bus FINALLY started moving.
It was nearly 7:30 pm by the time we got home; it had taken us over an hour. In the future we have to take the tram and subway, even though it's a longer walk to the tram. The kids went straight into the bathtub, where they ate their fruit. Then we got them ready for bed. Emmy was pretty tired and did a lot of crying after having been offended, but in the end he was fine. We had even read a bedtime story.
