HEALING 2 THE NATIONS INTERNATIONAL
Ask of Me, and I will make the nations your inheritance. (Ps 2:8)
Day 1911. Yesterday morning, a Sunday, they were up early, yet today, a Monday, Emmy and Tammy kept sleeping next to me, and it was hard getting them out of bed. Even though I was tired, I got up and did some scanning, as a student was waiting for those papers. I also put a chicken into the oven. At 11 am I went to the kitchen to finish cooking lunch.
After lunch I went downstairs with the kids to do their piano practice with them. It took a little longer than usual. I was so extremely tired that I headed straight to bed after. The kids have been having a cold, and on Saturday I started having symptoms myself. I believe it's what made me so very tired. I slept some, and at 3:30 pm I got up to make their dinner-to-go boxes. Just after 4 pm we all left the house together.
We took two subways and got to church a few minutes before the service started. The pastor and his wife came to talk to me briefly. Tammy was disappointed that there was no paper or crayons on the floor for her to do drawings. Those were brought much later. And so Tammy sat next to me until then. Emmy started dancing, showing off some of his break dance moves. Sammy was first with me, then with Daddy, and then he also went to draw.
At 5:30 pm all the kids left to go to the kids' program. It was Randy's turn to go with them. I was so tired I could barely keep my eyes open and was glad I got to stay in the sanctuary. I closed my eyes during worship. During announcements, the pastor's wife mentioned my operation and the positive outcome, and everyone clapped.
The service took longer than normal, until 7:15 pm. Randy and the kids came, and we decided to get going. It was after 8 pm before we got home, and we immediately got them ready for bed. After they were in bed, I got myself something to eat. At midnight I went to bed.
It was Monday today, and I was glad that I was able to go back to bed after getting the kids ready for kindergarten. It took me a while to fall asleep again, but I did. I woke up again at 10:15, got up and started working. By 11:30 I had lunch ready for Randy. He ate and left at noon to go pick up Sunday. I then ate as well before Randy and Sammy returned at 12:40 pm.
Sammy and I then had lots of fun. I played with him, while also trying to work. He ate some snacks, and he was watching videos on his tablet. It was surprising that he didn't even once ask to call Daddy. And Daddy returned home late today. It was already 2:15 pm. I had my first student at 2:30, so there was not enough time to do piano practice with the kids.
I then taught until 4:30 pm. Randy had left with Tammy and Sammy at 3:45 pm to take Tammy to ballet class. I had already made the kids' bread with salami and cut up fruit for their dinner. I went downstairs with Emmy to do piano practice, then we got ready to leave, and at 5 pm we left the house together.
It was raining but we had our umbrellas. We took the subway to the end, then walked to the school, where his soccer class is taking place. He got changed, and we went inside the gym. The previous class was still finishing up. At 5:30 pm their class started. They did some games at first, then at 6 pm, they were put in teams and played games. Emmy was in the goal for part of the time and playing the rest of the time, and he was doing great. And he scored one of the two goals his team scored.
At 6:30 the class was over. It was time to change and put our coats on, and off we went to walk back to the subway. It had pretty much stopped raining. We took the subway and were back home by 7 pm. Tammy and Sammy were eating, and Emmy sat down as well to eat. Tammy was done eating soon, so we went downstairs to do piano practice, even though I was really tired. Coming back upstairs, Sammy was already in the bathtub, then the other two went in as well. After they were out, I prayed for Sammy who then went to bed, but the other two still wanted a story. I was so very tired that I was not happy that I still had to teach at 8:20 pm. I read them a story, then put them to bed, then sat down at the computer to teach.
I was glad, when I was done, and went to the kitchen to make my soup. After having eaten, I worked on my pictures and wrote my blog. Now it's after midnight, and I still have to take care of the kitchen.
