Day 1866. This week all my mornings were busy. On Wednesday I had a student. Sammy had stayed home because his kindergarten was on strike, but Tammy and Emmy went to kindergarten. That way Randy was able to go pick them up earlier and returned home with them at 1:15 pm. That was perfect, as Grandma arrived at 1:30 pm. They hadn't seen her since their birthday in August.

We all went downstairs, and I helped them do their piano practice. Then I sat down by my Mom and enjoyed some time with her. However, I had a student at 2:20 pm, so time was short. Grandma continued playing with the kids, while I was teaching.

I finished at 3:10 and called the kids upstairs to get them ready so we could leave the house. We were aiming to make the 3:30 pm train. Randy was also getting Sammy ready to leave the house with him. Sammy had an appointment to get day braces fitted for his legs.

We said good-bye to Grandma and made our way to the train. It was cold and rainy. After we got off the train, we still had some walking to do to get to the school, where their exercise class  is taking place. They changed and went into the gym, while I stayed in the locker room, where I got to read and be on my phone during their class. It was actually pretty relaxing to me and gave me a little energy boost. After their class, they changed again and we made our way to the train station as quickly as possible to make the 5:01 pm train, and we did.

15 minutes later we were home, and I still had a few minutes until my 5:30 pm student. After I was done, I started making their food. Sammy had also come home.

On Thursday Emmy stayed home with me as I had a doctor's appointment and he needed to come with me. The pediatrician had said a month ago that he should get listened to after he was well again, so the time had come. Emmy was excited to stay with me, while Tammy was upset to have to go to kindergarten without her brother. She was saying that she has no friends there, which is hard to believe.

Emmy and I took the subway downtown and then walked to my doctor's office. We had to wait in the waiting room for a little bit, not to for long. We were called in, and the doctor first discussed my health with me. Then I told her about Emmy, and she listened to his lungs. She said there was still slime there and told me what to do the next few days. Then we left to return home.

I was glad that we got home so quickly. I was still able to lie down for a few minutes before I had to teach at 11:30 am. Sammy came home at 12:40 pm, then Randy left again to go pick up Tammy. I had a very busy afternoon teaching four hours in a row, from 2:30 to 6:20 pm. I was pretty tired. Randy left with Sammy at 4:30 pm to take him to his wheelchair kids class. The other two stayed home with me and were busy with their tablets while I was teaching. Sammy ended up having fun in his class as his friend had finally come. It was his first time seeing her since his birthday. And she gave him an invitation to her birthday in a few weeks. Randy and Sammy returned really late, around 7:15, when the other two kids were already on their way out of the bathtub. Sammy still went into the water to have fun for a few minutes.

This morning all three went back to kindergarten, and I lay back down for a little more sleep. My alarm got me up at 9:30 so I could get ready for my 10 am student. After I was done teaching, I put a lasagna into the oven. Randy got to eat before he left the house at 12:15 to pick up Tammy and Emmy and then take them to their tennis class. I didn't have time to eat before leaving just after noon to go pick up Sammy.

Sammy is always so very happy to see me, when I pick him up, and we have the greatest time together. We had fun on the subway and then had lots of fun at home. It wasn't until 2:45 pm before he asked to call Daddy. Then he had a time of crying for a while. We called Daddy again, which stopped the crying, and after that I was able to get him all laughing again with the games we play. I also tried to do some work on the computer, but it's hard.

I was supposed to teach two hours in a row, but my second student canceled. When Randy called to tell me that their train was canceled so that they were coming home 15 minutes later than usual, I was able to move my student to 4:20 pm. Randy and the kids came home at 4:15 pm, and they went downstairs to play.

After I was done teaching, I went downstairs so they could practice the piano. They've practiced every day of the week again this week. Let's hope their piano lesson tomorrow is better than last week's.

After we were done downstairs, we went upstairs, where I started making their food. It was the beginning of our evening routine. Now it's after midnight and time to take care of the kitchen before going to bed.
