HEALING 2 THE NATIONS INTERNATIONAL
Ask of Me, and I will make the nations your inheritance. (Ps 2:8)
Day 1873. Three more days have passed. On Wednesday the kids had their weekly exercise class. I stayed home with Sammy. I taught before they left, half an hour while I was alone with Sammy, and then after they returned. Then I made their dinner and gave it to them and still helped with them in the bathtub. Then I had to get going, which was very unusual and which is very rare for me. Sammy had already cried earlier in the afternoon that I was not going to be there at bedtime, which I guess was the reason he didn't cry any more after I had left. The other kids were more understanding, even though they didn't like me not being there either.
At 7 pm I left and took the subway downtown and went to a cute, little restaurant I've been to before a couple of times. I met there with a friend of 30 years that I hadn't seen in 4 years. We had a nice meal and a great time of catching up with each other. Howe refreshing! I need to do things like this more often. At about 9:30 we went our different ways, and by 10 pm I was home again.
Thursday was another day at home for me. I taught at 11 am, and then only 2 hours in the afternoon, as one student had canceled. Before I was done with my last student, Randy and Sammy had already left for his wheelchair kids class. His friend was there, and so he had a great time. Randy said he even had another girlfriend that night. Unfortunately he didn't take any pictures. Sammy had fun, and by 7 pm they were back home. By then the other two were already in the bathtub, and Sammy joined them there.
Today was a typical Friday. I taught at 10 am, then warmed up yesterday's leftovers for Randy and me. Randy left the house at 12:15 to go pick up Tammy and Emmy and take them to their tennis class that is from 2 to 3 pm. I left the house a little later than usual just after 12:30 pm to go pick up Sammy.
When I got to the kindergarten, the teacher told me he had talked about me picking him up all morning. Today a therapy dog had come to visit the kids in the kindergarten, which was a fun experience for Sammy. They said we'd be getting pictures next week.
Back home Sammy started playing with his toy vaccuum cleaner, which is his favorite toy right now, while I tried to work and also to rest, but Sammy keeps me on my toes. We had fun together, with lots of laughter from Sammy, but he also did a fair bit of crying today. He always wants to call Daddy, and today I told him he'd have to wait 20 minutes, until their tennis class had started. Sammy cannot wait and so he started crying hard. At 2 pm we called Daddy, which ended the crying.
At 4:10 pm I started teaching, even though Randy and the other kids had not come home yet, which was rather unusual. Thankfully they arrived a few minutes later, and Randy took them all downstairs to play. I taught two hours, until just before 6 pm, then I went downstairs to do the piano practice with Tammy and Emmy. Practicing daily has really paid off. I hope the teacher is going to ask the kids to play what they've practiced.
After we were done practicing, it was high time to make their food. They ate, then went into the bathtub, then we got them ready for bed. Today it was rather late for Tammy and Emmy, close to 8:30 pm. Sammy was already asleep by then, and the other two were also pretty tired.
