HEALING 2 THE NATIONS INTERNATIONAL
Ask of Me, and I will make the nations your inheritance. (Ps 2:8)
Day 1858. What a crazy day! Randy took the kids to kindergarten in the morning, while I lay back down to sleep. I got up at 11 and soon went to the kitchen to start making chicken noodle soup. Randy got some rest, which he needed, and I woke him up just after noon to go pick up Sammy. They got home at 12:45, and he and I were having fun, while Randy left to go pick the other two up.
It was unusual for Sammy to already ask to call Daddy just minutes after he had left. I had just sat down to eat my soup and told Sammy he'd have to wait until I was done, but waiting is not his thing, so he was very unhappy. He started asking me constantly whether I was done eating and did lots of whining, even crying in the end. When I was done, we sat down on my bed and called Daddy.
Randy and the kids returned home after 2 pm. I had already moved my student to 2:40 pm, so that I'd have enough time to take them downstairs for 5 minutes of piano practice each. Once we were back upstairs, I dressed Emmy for his Break Dance class, then I left them to start teaching. Randy and Emmy left at 3 pm for Emmy's class.
Tammy and Sammy stayed home with me. I finished teaching at 3:30 pm, then I went to the kitchen to make their bread with salami for dinner, as well as to cut up fruit for their dinner. I put the bread and snacks into the bag on the wheelchair, then I dressed Sammy and Tammy, and at 4:10 pm we left the house together.
We took the subway for a few stops, then waited on the platform for Randy and Emmy to arrive from the opposite direction. We had to wait until 4:45, which was much later than expected. We even did a video call with them before that. Once we were reunited, I gave Randy some directions so he'd find his way to the wheelchair kids class, then I said good-bye and got onto the subway home.
Randy took them to the class that started at 5:15 pm, but the two regular teachers weren't there. The guy there rudely kicked Randy and Sammy's siblings out of the gym. When Sammy started crying because he was alone in the gym, they let Randy in after all. Thankfully one of the regular teachers arrived later. Tammy and Emmy were alone in the locker room, together with all the other parents. Emmy then simply went into the gym, while Tammy stayed in the locker room to the end. Last week I had taken Sammy to the class, together with Tammy, and it had been no problem. Sammy had enjoyed having his sister in the class with him.
I was home for half an hour, then I had to leave to go to the informational meeting about school options for Sammy. It was a long way from home. I got there at 6:15 pm, and it started at 6:30 pm. It was very interesting and informative, and it lastee until 7:45 pm. Randy and the kids had arrived home at 7:15 pm, so pretty late. Usually they go to bed at 8 pm. Before my meeting was over, Randy already tried to call me because Sammy was crying for me. I then called after my meeting was over.
At 8:30 pm I walked into our apartment. The kids had just come out of the bathtub and were very happy to see me. I put Sammy to bed, then prayed for Tammy and Emmy. It was too late for a story, but I did get to talk to them about their day a little. And I heard about how crazy the wheelchair class had been. I was not happy. Thankfully it was the exception that all three kids had to go there.
After they were in bed, I got myself something to eat. It was after 9 pm before I got to sit down and eat. Randy then gave me his videos and pictures of Emmy's dance class, but he didn't get to take any pictures in the wheelchair class. Now it's after midnight, and time to take care of the kitchen and then go to bed.
