Day 1857. Yesterday was our last day without afternoon program for a while. Well, not quite, as Sammy had his weekly physiotherapy. He's now staying in kindergarten an additional hour on Tuesdays, until 1:30, then Randy picks him up and takes him straight to physiotherapy, while I stay home with the other two. And I had a long afternoon of  teaching four hours in a row. It was tiring but made worse because of the way I felt. My nose was running non-stop, plus I was sneezing, and by the end of the day I was red all around my nose, and I was feeling terrible.

The kids were excited about their neoprene suits arriving. Last Saturday they had their first swim class of this semester, and the water was so cold that the boys were shivering. I hope the suits will protect them from the cold so they can enjoy the class. They sure loved wearing them and didn't want to take them off because they were so comfortable.

This morning I didn't have any commitments, but for some reason I couldn't continue sleeping, so I worked instead. By lunch time I was so extremely tired, but had no more chance to close my eyes. I was surprised, when Randy returned home with Sammy an hour earlier than usual, just after 11:30 am. The kindergarten had called him that Sammy wasn't feeling well and wanted to go home, so Randy picked him up early. We then ate lunch together at about 12:15 pm, then Randy left at the regular time to go pick up Tammy and Emmy from kindergarten.

Sammy and I spent a lot of time together this afternoon, while we hadn't seen each other all day yesterday. We were having fun together until Randy and the kids returned home at about 2 pm. Once they got home, I took them straight downstairs so they could practice the piano for 5 minutes each. Emmy didn't want to do it all and gave me a hard time, but reluctantly did it in the end. I was very time-conscious, as time was short, with me teaching at 2:30 pm.

After having practiced, we returned upstairs, where I put their exercise clothes on. Then I had to get ready to teach. Randy left with them just after 3 pm, so that Sammy had to occupy himself for about 10 minutes until I was done teaching at 3:20 pm. Then we had fun again until 4 pm. I was wise to schedule the student that always comes late, so that I only taught about 35 minutes while being alone with Sammy. And he did pretty great, only needing me a few times, without disturbing my student.

I finished at 4:50 and then we had the most fun of the afternoon. I was chasing Sammy who was just laughing and laughing, while also making the kids' dinner. Sammy never even asked about when Daddy was coming home or to call him. At about 5:20 pm they walked through the door. They'd had fun at their weekly exercise class, and their teacher sent me today's pictures tonight.

Unfortunately I didn't have much time to talk to them, as I had my last student at 5:30. They were eating, while I was teaching until 6:20 pm. Then they went into the bathtub.

By tonight I was feeling better than last night, but my nose is still in bad shape, and all the kids and I, we are all coughing, some more, some less. I had a  hard time reading their bedtime story because my nose was completely stuffed.

Now it's after midnight and time to go to bed. It's another long day tomorrow.
