HEALING 2 THE NATIONS INTERNATIONAL
Ask of Me, and I will make the nations your inheritance. (Ps 2:8)
Day 1736. This morning Randy left with the kids before 8:30 to take them to their kindergartens, then he went to the grocery store. I myself lay back down after they left for a little more sleep and got up at 9:30 am to get ready for my 10 am student. I took my computer downstairs to my newly reconquered office. I love it; the only downside is that the wifi is sometimes weak/unstable. My student had overslept, so that we only did half of the scheduled hour, which was just fine by me. Then I did some office work for the ministry and made good progress. I was still working, when Randy came home with Sammy at 12:40 pm. He brought him downstairs to me, where the two of us stayed. I continued working as much as I could, while taking care of Sammy. He was saying he was hungry, even though he'd had lunch at kindergarten at 11:30, but eventually I went to warm up my leftovers and shared them with him.
We were both still eating, when Randy returned with the other two kids at 2 pm. They immediately came downstairs to join us. Emmy called to me to look at what he could do, and I couldn't believe my eyes, when he hung off the rings without holding on to anything!
We didn't stay downstairs long, as it was time to get dressed and leave the house at 2:30, which we did. All five of us got on the subway and then the tram to get to the school, where their ball-playing class was taking place. It was a hot day. We got there a few minutes before the class started, took our shoes off, and went inside the gym.
I was having fun playing ball with Sammy for a while. Then he kept crawling to this man, a Dad, and pulling himself up there. After half an hour he'd had enough and wanted to go swing at the playground, so Randy left with him.
The other two were doing a lot of running as part of the games they were playing. One time they had fabric hanging out of their pants that the others had to try to grab. Another time they had to run to the other side of the room without being caught. Then there was a game, where they had to try to keep the other team from grabbing any of their balls. In the end they played a freeze game. The teacher's assistant was a man today, and he walked around trying to get the kids to move, and quite a few of them actually did - not our two.
Then the class was over. They changed their shoes, and off we went. I had a student scheduled, so I needed to get home. I was surprised to hear that they didn't want to go to the playground anyway. We were walking in the direction of the tram stop, when Randy and Sammy were coming our way. We got on the next tram together, then had the subway to take. The elevator was not fixed yet, so we again had to take the escalator with the wheelchair, much to Sammy's delight.
We were home before 4:30 and all went downstairs. I got ready for my 4:40 pm student, while Tammy wanted to draw, so I gave her paper and crayons. I taught until 5:30, then I showed Tammy how to make a star by folding a paper twice and then cutting pieces out of the edge, and both Tammy and Emmy ended up making a few of them and also coloring them. It was hard to to still get any work done.
It was after 6:15 pm, when we all went upstairs. I went to the kitchen to start making their dinner, which was the beginning of our evening routine. Now it's after 1:30, and I have yet to take care of the kitchen.
