HEALING 2 THE NATIONS INTERNATIONAL
Ask of Me, and I will make the nations your inheritance. (Ps 2:8)
Day 1747. I had to set the alarm for 8 am this morning. The boys were already up before then. Randy got up and made breakfast. Tammy woke up, when I got up at 8:40 am, when my second alarm went off. It was way too early for me, but I had a student from 9 to 11 am, and so I sat down at my upstairs desk to teach. I could still hear Randy and the kids for a while until they went downstairs.
After I was done teaching, I went to the kitchen to cook lunch. We sat down to eat some time after noon. After we were done eating, I dressed the kids and we got ready to leave the house, which we did at 1:10 pm. We'd decided to all go together, even though Sammy would have preferred to stay home with me. It was our first time going to their tennis class from home, as I usually pick them up from the kindergarten and then take them there. We took the subway, then a train, then had to walk. It was an extremely hot day, the first really hot day of the summer. Tammy was complaining all the time how hot it was. One train had a broken air condition, and Tammy actually took her dress off and sat in there with only her underwear on.
We got to the sports center a few minute before their class was to start. They didn't have to change this time but only change their shoes. They put them on and went inside, where the teacher greeted them. Then I sat down in the restaurant to watch them. They had just painted the walls, so that I could not lean against the window as usual. Randy and Sammy were next to me; Sammy was watching kids' songs on his tablet. After a few minutes they decided to go to the nearby playground. Sammy was excited about that. He got to swing and use the zipline and had fun.
I kept watching the kids play. And today they learned how to play backhand for the first time and did well. At 3 pm the class was over. Randy and Sammy had already returned by then. We changed their shoes again and left to walk back to the train station. We had to wait a bit for the train that took us to the subway. Once there, the first subway was an old train. However, I had to get home to teach, so I got on it, and Tammy and Emmy came with me. Randy and Sammy stayed to take the next train, a new one. Tammy took her dress off again and walked home like that because it was so hot. Emmy then also took his shirt off.
Once home, I got ready for my student at 4:10 pm. I had just enough time for that. This time I went downstairs to teach, for both my lessons that took until 6 pm, and so I had the noise from the kids in the background all the time. Once I was done, I still sat down with the kids at the piano - for the second time today - and let them play their songs, including applause and them bowing. They did pretty well. Let's hope they won't be too nervous playing them for their teacher tomorrow.
Then we went upstairs, where I started making their dinner, which was the beginning of our evening routine. Now it's 1 am and I need to finish the kitchen and go to bed.
