HEALING 2 THE NATIONS INTERNATIONAL
Ask of Me, and I will make the nations your inheritance. (Ps 2:8)
Day 1735. Today the kids had their first swim class in a while. Last time the train was canceled, which meant there was no point going as the class would have been over by the time we got there, so this time we decided to take the previous train half an hour earlier. That meant leaving the house at an early 8:45 am. We took the 8:56 train and arrived at at the pool by 9:15. For the first time this year the outside area was open, even though it was not quite that hot yet, which also explained that there were hardly any people there. We had to pay a day ticket and got keys for the outside lockers. They were all the way on the other end of the big outside area.
We walked by the pools and then had to find our locker room which we did with the help of some workers there. We were the only ones in the locker room. We changed and went outside. Having come so early, we still had time until the 10 am class. Tammy and Emmy went into the pool right away, as if the water wasn't cold at all. It was cold at first, but not for long. I then took Sammy to the little waterfall that he enjoyed. He was having fun in the water.
Just before 10 am we made our way to the closed inside pool that was only open for classes. They used to warm up the water for the class, but not any more. Sammy was cold from the beginning and soon had to leave the water because of it. Emmy was also unusually cold, but he managed to stay in the water for the half hour the class was taking. And so I was with Tammy and Emmy, while Randy sat on a bench with Sammy. They were practicing swimming and were doing a great job. After the class was over, everyone agreed to leave. They were asking to go to McDonald's for lunch, which is our tradition. We changed and left We had to take the tram for four stops. Tammy and Emmy both wanted to take pictures of me. Emmy had picked a yellow flower for me that I had put behind my ear, and he had also given Tammy one that I put with her hairband.
We have a friend at the McDonald's there who is from Ghana. He's great with the kids and very helpful. We had a good time eating, then we took the subway and 12:23 train, which meant we were home by 12:40 pm.
I was very tired and lay down in bed right away. It took me a while to fall asleep, but then I slept unusually long. I had gone to bed at 3 am last and so I was very tired. Randy and the kids were downstairs, where their playroom is. After I woke up, there was not much time left to do anything productive.
