Day 1712. What a busy day today was! Randy took all three kids to their kindergartens and returned just before I started teaching at 10 am. I taught until just after noon, and then only had a few minutes to get Randy's lunch ready for when he'd return with Sammy and get myself ready to leave the house, making sure I had everything we needed with me. I now have a scooter too that I specifically got so we could ride it on Fridays, when I take them to tennis class, as there is so much walking involved. However, it was raining and so that was out of the question. The kids were really disappointed about that.

I took a bus and then another bus and got to their kindergarten at about 1 pm. Tammy was drawing and Emmy playing, when I got there. They came out of their room and put their shoes and coats on, then we left. We had a long walk ahead of us to get to our bus stop. Randy had left the bag that had Emmy's umbrella in it on the tram, so it was gone. Tammy still had her umbrella, and I had mine, as we walked down the street. We had just missed a bus, so we had to wait 9 minutes for the next one. We then rode the bus for 15 minutes, got off and had more walking in the rain to do before we reached the sports center.

We were right on time. We went to the locker room, where I got the kids ready, then we went to the tennis courts. It was exactly 2 pm, when we got there. Perfect! The kids went inside, where their teacher was already waiting for them, while I sat down by the window in the restaurant, where I could watch the kids play.

To start with, the teacher set up an obstacle course, and the kids helped with that. Then he showed them what they needed to do to get through it.

Next they got their tennis rackets and lined up in front of the net. The teacher then threw a few balls to each kid before it was the next kid's turn. Once a kid was done, he had to go through the obstacle course and line up in the back again. He did different exercices, making them go sidewards, back and forth, to hit the ball. At the end they played a game, where the teacher threw balls at them, and they had to try not to be hit, which was impossible. Then the class was over.

We headed back to the locker room, where they got changed, then we headed out the door. Thankfully it had stopped raining. We had a long walk ahead of us to get to the S-train station. We walked as fast as possible then waited few minutes for the train. We rode it for about 15 minutes. While we were on it, Randy called us on video, as we'd been gone for a long time and Sammy was missing us all. And so we all talked to Sammy for a while. Once we got off downtown, we walked to the subway and were surprised to see a lot of people waiting there and still, it said that it was 9 minutes to the subway's arrival. That was unusual. When it finally arrived after having waited for a long time, not everyone could get on it. We squeezed in, and the kids were not too happy about that. However, after the next stop it was already much better.

Because of that unusually long wait time, it was already after 4 pm by the time we got off at our stop. Randy and Sammy were waiting for us there. He was so happy to see us. As for me, I was in a rush as I had a 4 pm student who I had told that it would be 4:10 before we could start. I walked home as quickly as possible, but it was closer to 4:15 before I was in the meeting. Thankfully that student is always late, so it worked out alright. I was just really hungry, as I'd had no time to eat lunch. And then I had another student after the first one, teaching until exactly 6 pm. Then I went to the kitchen to make their dinner, which is the beginning of our evening routine. Now it's going on 2 am and time to take care of the kitchen and then go to bed. Tammy and Emmy are both sleeping in my bed, so I'll have to make some room first.
