Day 1706. Today was the day to sleep longer, but Sammy is always up early, then Emmy is as well. Tammy always sleeps longer. I was so tired this morning I didn't notice, when they got up, but Emmy came in at one point and woke his sister and me up. I got up when I had to and got the kids ready for their piano class. However, they wanted to go downstairs, and so they did at 9 am. Just before 10 am Randy left with Tammy and Emmy to take them to their piano class.

Sammy and I stayed home and had a good time. I did house work and eventually went to the kitchen to cook lunch. At noon Randy and the kids returned, and we sat down to eat. It's pretty much the only meal we have together a week now.

After lunch the kids joined me for some time to watch some singing and dancing. I needed the time this afternoon to write a way overdue newsletter. Since it's finally warm again, as well as sunny, Randy decided to take all three to the playground by himself, which is a challenge. And he let Tammy and Emmy use their scooters. It worked out really well. The kids had fun climbing and swinging, and I had a productive time writing the newsletter. At around 4 pm they came back home and went downstairs with Randy, so that I was able to continue working and eventually finished my newsletter. Now I still have to do the German and French translation.

Some time after 5 pm they all came back upstairs. When I saw Sammy, I was shocked. Sammy had grabbed the black crayon (a kid-friendly one that is edible) and eaten it, while Randy was proof-reading my newsletter. He was black inside and outside of his mouth, as well as his body and clothes. I washed him as well as I could, but the black paint still continued coming out of his mouth. It was only after having been in the bathtub that you couldn't tell any more.

I got started making their dinner early, before 6 pm, and then we went through our typical evening routine. It was after 8 pm before we were done and everyone was in bed. Sammy had already fallen asleep by then. I got myself something to eat and took a break, then I went back to work. Now it's after midnight, and tomorrow we have a busy day.
