HEALING 2 THE NATIONS INTERNATIONAL
Ask of Me, and I will make the nations your inheritance. (Ps 2:8)
Day 1720. After too little sleep and a long and tiring day yesterday, the last night was too short as well. I'm glad that Randy makes breakfast for the kids, so that I could stay in bed. I finally did get up to dress the kids and get them ready. Randy then left with them before 10 am to take them to piano class, so that I was once again alone with Sammy. He came to me and asked me to play videos of them again, specific ones that he likes. So we did that for the longest time, even though I would have had stuff to do. Eventually I stopped and put the soup from yesterday on the stove and gave Sammy his tablet to have his children's songs. We then did some more playing, what he just loves playing with me - me trying to get him to eat him up, and him trying to get away. Time went by fast. I was wondering why the others hadn't come home yet. They only arrived at 12:15, which is much later than usual. They had stopped at a grocery store to pick up a cake for Mother's Day.
It was time to sit down at the table and eat. Everyone had cake after the soup, then I sat back down at the computer to work. After a while Randy went downstairs with the kids. I had a student from 2 to 3 pm. They returned upstairs before I was done. I then got them and myself ready to leave the house. At 3:15 pm we left.
We walked to the train station and took the 3:32 train, then the subway, and arrived at church just as the service was starting at 4 pm. We sat down in the front, on the side, and worship started. Emmy was dancing, while Tammy sat down and didn't want to. Randy got Sammy out of the wheelchair. After a while they'd had enough. It was nearly 4:30 pm, which is when the kids' program starts, so we went to the back and found out that it was going to be 5 pm today because of Mother's Day. And so we went to the baby room for them to play until 5 pm.
Randy got the vehicles for them to ride, which they enjoy a lot. He then had the idea of having the car go down the slide, and Emmy wanted to ride it down and did. The kids also climbed into the baby swing. At 5 pm I left the room with Tammy and Emmy to return to the sanctuary. They were eager to hand out roses to all the women in the room. Tammy wasn't happy that she still had to wait, but then the time had come. All the kids were called to the front to pick up the roses and then take them to all the ladies in the room. Emmy took his first rose to me, while Tammy never came to me. They had more roses than ladies, and another kid brought me a second rose. Then it was time to go to the kids' program.
Randy and Sammy had also returned, and the lady in charge of the kids' program was right there, ready to go to the kids' room with them all. I let Randy go with them and went back into the sanctuary. I sat down in the back and closed my eyes as the tiredness was hitting me hard. When the service ended, I went to the lobby and when they didn't come, I went to the kids' room. We then all went to the lobby and talked to a few people. The kids had colored a Mother Day's paper. Then we left and walked through the mall to the exit, but we stopped at McDonald's. We had decided to do our weekly McDonald's meal after church tonight. They finally had new toys, and decent ones. The kids got two gorillas and two polar bears. We enjoyed our meal, and when we looked at the time, we decided to get going quickly to make the next train, rather than having to wait 40 minutes for the next train.
We walked to the subway, rode it for three stops and got off to go to the train platform. Sammy was upset that we had already gotten off the subway, as he likes pushing the door button. Up on the platform we didn't have to wait long until our train arrived. Just after 7:30 pm we were back home.
We immediately started getting them ready for bed. I myself could barely keep my eyes open because I was so tired. I still read them a story, as that's so important to them. Then they went to be. I turned my computer on and started working on today's pictures, as well as doing some other stuff. Now it's 1 am, so I'm not sure how much earlier it's going to be tonight if at all.
