HEALING 2 THE NATIONS INTERNATIONAL
Ask of Me, and I will make the nations your inheritance. (Ps 2:8)
Day 1715. This morning Randy took Tammy and Emmy to kindergarten, while Sammy stayed home with me, so no rest this morning. We had a good time together. Randy returned at 9:45 and left with Sammy at 10 am to take him to his horse therapy session. That finally gave me some quiet to work and also to talk to Paul in Mali.
Randy and Sammy already returned at 11:30 am. Some time later Randy left to go get the other kids, and so Sammy and I were home together again. I cooked lunch and fed Sammy, and once the others got home at 1:30, Randy ate as well. Emmy also wanted some.
I was very tired and finally got to close my eyes just before 2 pm, setting my timer to 20 minutes. During those 20 minutes Randy, Tammy and Emmy all came into the room at different times, wanting something from me. No rest for Mommy. At 2:15 I got up to get the kids and myself ready, and at 2:30 pm we left the house together, all five of us.
It was a hot and sunny day. We took the subway for two stops and then the tram for three. One of the kids in their class was also on the tram, and our kids started talking with him right away. We then walked to the school; we were over 10 minutes early. We went inside and were the first ones in the gym, including the boy from the tram. Then one of the teachers arrived and emptied her bag of balls. The kids started playing with the balls right away, and I was playing ball with Sammy. They alway have free play time the first few minutes. Sammy wanted to go to the big mat and ended up playing with Emmy there. Then the teachers called them to the mat to tell them what their first game was going to be. Some kids had fabric hanging out of their pants, and the other kids had to try to grab them.
After a few rounds of games, the teachers set up a parcours and showed them what to do in each section. The kids were having fun. Tammy got hurt a few times today, while Emmy fell twice on the street and scraped his skin.
15 minutes into the class, Sammy asked to go swing at the playground, and so Randy left with him. The last few minutes the kids had free play again, and Tammy was creating some art. Emmy was playing with some boys. Then they all gathered one more time on the mat, and the class was over.
We went to the locker room, where they changed shoes, then we headed out and ran into Randy and Sammy, who were returning. Tammy and Emmy wanted to go quickly up and down on the playground right there, so they did for two minutes, then we moved on and walked to the tram stop. We let the first train go, as it was an old one, and Sammy likes new trains. We got on the next one, then let an old subway pass to get on the next one, which was a new one. Just after 4:30 pm we were back home, where I could disinfect everyone's wounds.
I only had one student this afternoon, and I had him at 5 pm, so I had a little time to get ready for it. Randy went downstairs with the kids. After I was done teaching, Randy came back upstairs with them, and I got their food ready. It was the beginning of our evening routine.
