HEALING 2 THE NATIONS INTERNATIONAL
Ask of Me, and I will make the nations your inheritance. (Ps 2:8)
Day 1679. I had another terrible night because of the fever. We moved the clocks forward by one hour last night as well. Emmy was the first one up and went to Sammy, so they were both up. Randy then took Sammy's braces off and put him on the floor. Soon Tammy was up as well, and all three kids started looking for hidden Easter eggs everywhere, while we were still in bed. In any case, they kept coming to me with their finds, and as I had hidden the eggs, I knew what was there to find.
Soon Emmy asked for breakfast, and Randy then got up to make it. After they were done, they were impatient to go downstairs, where most of the eggs were hidden. Well, not yet. Randy had to go downstairs to hide them still. So I put a Jesus movie on for them, so they could watch the crucifixion and resurrection. Once Randy was done, they all went downstairs, a bag in their hands, to look for eggs and put them into their bags. And they were not hard to find. Randy helped Sammy, so he'd also find a lot. I went downstairs for a little while to watch and take pictures, as I felt well enough to do so, then returned to bed.
But the kids never let me sleep, unfortunately. They woke me up a few times, when I was finally able to sleep well after having taking some medication. They have received some eggs with fossils that you have to dig out, and they wanted to do so. Tammy and Emmy both started, but Emmy didn't have the perseverance for it and soon quite. Tammy finished hers and got a dinosaur out.
At about 10:45 I went to the kitchen to make chicken-noodle soup. Thankfully Randy had cut all the vegetables last night, though way too late after having slept in the chair by their beds for a few hours. I still had to cut the chicken, so it took me a while to be done with it. Then I lay back down.
At 11:45 we sat down to eat the soup, as our aim was to leave the house just after 12:15. I had taken medication at 9 am, but it was wearing off, so I was not feeling well. I wanted to eat some soup to have strenght, but I did not feel like eating at all. I then ate literally ONE spoonful. As we were getting ready to leave, I became more and more nauseous and ended up vomiting. I asked Randy whether he could take the children by himself, but decided to try to go anyway, against my better judgment.
We had a one-hour trip ahead of us, taking two subways and a bus. I had my eyes closed as much as I could. When we got off on top of the mountain, we arrived at just the right time. I had registered us for a special event at the petting zoo. The kids like it there, but we haven't been there in a long time because it's so far from our home. We walked to the entrance and went inside. We paid and went to the area where they told us to wait.
There were tables with paper bags with numbers on them set up, as well as crayons for them to draw on their bags. There were 22 children signed up, plus their parents. The kids picked a spot and a paper bag and started drawing on them until the lady doing the program and the tour arrived to get us started.
First the kids had to take out a metal rod of the bag. It had the same number on it as the paper bag and was so they'd know whose was whose at the end. We also had to write their names on the bags. Then she collected the bags and handed out dough to everyone. She then led them step by step as to what do do. They had to roll the dough so it'd be really long, then roll it up. Then she gave us egg yoke to brush on top and sugar to put on top. Then it was done. She put them all on the baking trays, while we were waiting for her to finish so we could start the tour. The kids were impatient, of course.
We first went to the rabbits and were allowed inside their house thanks to our guide. We had some feed, but not carrots, like some people had brought with them. But they got to pet one rabbit in particular and saw a few others as well. Then we went to the cows. They were two baby cows there, and the kids looked at them. Randy got Sammy out of the wheelchair and told me that the calf had kissed Sammy.
We walked by some ducks and got to the sheep. Our guide had a big bag of animal feed, so the kids kept going to her to get some. Emmy has now also lost his fear of feeding animal. There was one baby sheep that everybody wanted to feed. Then we walked on and went inside the chicken's big area. Here Emmy was afraid again, and both of them did not like the chicken dung on the ground. We didn't stay in there for long, but went to the scoop where you could look at the babies. Then all three stood outside the fence to look at them.
We walked on and went inside the pig's house. The lady gave us some interesting facts about pigs. Then we went outside and looked at the pigs lying on the ground there. I was really proud of Tammy, as she repeatedly went to our guide to ask her intelligent questions.
Next came the goats, where they kept getting feed from her to feed the animals, then we went to another enclosure, where there was a baby goat. However, it was an adult goat who came to Sammy, and when it sneezed hard, it made Sammy and Randy laugh really hard.
We walked on and saw turkeys and geese. Then the tour was over. Tammy and Emmy wanted to go down the slide, which was the only thing there for them to play with. The rest of us walked inside and saw our Easter pastry waiting for us. I found their three, and we sat down, as they wanted to eat it. At least some of it. And they kept leaving for the slide and coming back for another bite a few times. At 3:30 pm it was finally time to leave.
We walked back to the bus stop and had to wait a little for our bus to arrive. After the bus, we got on a subway. Emmy lay down on the seats and fell asleep. I then picked him up and carried him, when we got off and walked to another subway. However, he's really heavy now, so Randy took over. We got on the second subway, and soon Emmy was awake again.
At 4:30 pm we were back home, and all I wanted to do was lie down and sleep. Of course the kids kept wanting something from me, then they all went downstairs. Finally quiet. But they came up early and came to wake me up right away.
The rest of the evening was weird. Both Tammy and Emmy fell asleep next to me, and both were crying because of a stuffy nose. There was a lot of crying tonight. I didn't feel well enough to make their dinner, so Randy made some, but nobody wanted to eat. With 8 pm approaching, Randy put their pj's on them. I prayed for them, and they started crying, when I said I wasn't up for reading a story. I gave in and finished the book we've been reading. I also took a medication so I'd be well enough to finally eat something and maybe fell better to work on the pictures. It worked out. Tammy and Emmy lay with me for some time, then went to their own beds, while had some chicken soup, and then started working on the pictures. Randy had a really short night last night and is on his way to bed now. I still have to take care of the kitchen, then I'll go to bed as well. I still feel really miserable.
