HEALING 2 THE NATIONS INTERNATIONAL
Ask of Me, and I will make the nations your inheritance. (Ps 2:8)
Day 1699. Last night we found out that the piano class this morning was canceled. That meant being able to sleep in, but the boys were already up at 7 am, as usual, and they were saying how hungry they were, so Randy got up to make breakfast. Tammy still stayed in bed with me for over an hour before Emmy was so loud that he woke her up.
I had looked up whether there was anything else we could do and found a free soccer and free hockey session for their age group. Tammy wanted to go play hockey, without even knowing what that was, but Emmy didn't want to go because of his toe, so we decided to stay home after all. Randy took them downstairs to play, while I was doing office work.
At 11 am they came back upstairs, as Randy was doing omelets today - for the first time in a very long time, nearly a year. And it takes him a long time. Some time after noon the first omelet was done, and I split it up between the three kids. Then Randy brought two more for himself and me.
After lunch Tammy and Emmy and then also Sammy ended up in my bed with me and my computer, watching some videos on there, while I was working at the same time. We still had Kasperl tickets and decided to go to the 3 pm show. And so we left the house just before 2:30 pm.
We took the subway and then had to walk quite a bit to get to the theater. Unfortunately it was raining and it was cold, but we all had our umbrellas. We were glad, when we reached it, and went inside. We sat down in the middle, where we could see well. Emmy sat on my lap, and Sammy with Daddy, while Tammy was between us. We still had to wait a few minutes for the show to start, and the kids were impatient. Sammy was really enjoying the unique music they were playing, while we were waiting.
Then the show started, and it was a classic Kasperl program for the next 30 minutes. It's always interactive, and especially Emmy shouted out quite a few sentences, which was fun, and the puppets reacted to what he was saying. Tammy shouted a few things and laughed a lot. Even Sammy was enjoying it for part of the time; he's more attentive than he used to in situations like this.
After it was over, we left again and walked back to the subway with our umbrellas. It was still raining, so there were no rides and no playground to go to. At 4 pm we were back home. Randy went downstairs with the kids, while I sat down to continue doing office work. However, I was so tired that I fell asleep. For the third time today it was Emmy who woke me up or wouldn't let me sleep, but I fell back asleep. At 6:15 Randy woke me up so I'd make their dinner, as Sammy was already really hungry.
And so I went to the kitchen, warmed up some food for the kids and made their bread with salami and cut up fruit for them. They ate some and continued in the bathtub, then we got them ready for bed. They now brush their teeth before story time, so we can just stay in my bed after the story and pray and cuddle until they go to their beds, rather than still having to brush their teeth. They enjoyed the story and enjoyed talking with me after, then I prayed. We cuddled a bit, then they went to their own beds. I went to the kitchen to make myself something to eat. After having eaten, I went back to work. Now it's after midnight, and I should go to bed soon, as we have to get up tomorrow morning.
