Day 1675. Yesterday Sammy's kindergarten took the kids to an Easter market downtown. I had to teach from 10 to noon, but Tammy and Emmy also wanted to go to an Easter market, and so Randy took them downtown. At 10 am they had a Kasperl performance, which is something the kids always enjoy. They even saw Sammy there, but didn't approach him. In the afternoon I also had to teach, and Randy took the kids downstairs.

This morning Sammy went to kindergarten again,  while I was the one to leave the house with the other two at 9:15 am. Randy ran some errands and then had some time to himself.

The three of us took the subway to the end, thene the tram and then walked. Emmy was rather impatient as it took about 40 minutes to get there. We even arrived a few minutes before it opened at 10 am and lined up with the other families outside the building. It was a warm and sunny day.

At 10 am we went inside. I paid, they took their shoes and jackets off, and couldn't wait to go inside the big hall where all the equipment was set up. It's been a while since we've been at that place. It was only open for two hours today, and for kids 0 to 6.

Tammy and Emmy were the first ones in the room and so excited about what they saw. They started jumping and climbing and sliding right away. In the end the big slide was Emmy's favorite. He kept going up and down over and over again, going down all different ways. He even jumped from the top nearly all the way to the bottom, hurting his behind a little in the process. One time he came running and crying because he had hurt his hand. It took him a while to be able to go back to playing, and it still hurt after we left there.

Tammy soon started building a wall with blocks and ended up doing that for most of her time there. Higher and higher she went. I even had to lift her up so she could put more blocks on top. Several times little kids came dangerously close and even pushed part of the wall over that I then helped her rebuild. The wall ended up high and wide.

Then Emmy wanted his sister to join him on the slide, and so I was given the task of guarding the wall from little kids pushing it over. I stood next to it and did my job, while the kids went up and down the slide together having lots of fun. When there were only a few minutes left, I quit my job and sat back down and it didn't take long for two little kids to come and push the wall over, having lots of fun doing so. I comforted Tammy, telling her we were about to leave anyway.

But first they returned to the other end of the room, where they only then discovered the climbing wall that they then tried climbing up on. They didn't get very high before jumping back down and then heading to the ball pit before they turned the light so far down that we had to leave.

They put their shoes and coats back on, and off we went to walk back to the tram stop. They had really enjoyed their time there and thanked me for having taken them there. There were lots of dandelions everywhere, and Tammy picked one and had me put it behind her ear. We took the tram to the end, then took the subway. Two stops before home we were at the subway stop, where Randy would get on with Sammy, but it was about 12:33, and so about 5 minutes too early for that.

And so we were the first one back home. I immeditaly turned the oven on and got the pizzas ready, and then Randy and Sammy arrived. It wasn't long until we sat down to eat. I was extremely tired, had been all morning, but I had no time to rest. After having eaten I went straight to work scanning teaching material from school books for my 3 pm student. At 2:30 pm Randy went downstairs with the kids, while I continued working until 3 pm without having had any rest. I then taught until 5 pm, then I continued working.

At 5:30 pm Randy and the kids came back upstairs, and after some time I finally lay down in bed for a few minutes. Of course even then the kids came all the time needing something from me. I then got up to start making their dinner, which is the beginning of our evening routine. After dinner and bathtub and having put Sammy to bed, I read a story to the other two. Then they brushed their teeth, and I climbed up on their bunkbed with them to cuddle for some time. Then I went to the kitchen to get myself something to eat. After having eaten, I went back to work. Now it's midnight, and I still have to take care of the kitchen.
