HEALING 2 THE NATIONS INTERNATIONAL
Ask of Me, and I will make the nations your inheritance. (Ps 2:8)
Day 1687. Sammy had his third horsetherapy session and so he did not go to kindergarten. He stayed home with me, while Randy took the other two to kindergarten. When he returned home at 9:30 am, he still had an hour at home and took Sammy downstairs. At 10:30 they left the house together and they were back before 12:30. Then Randy left to go pick up the other two. I had used my time at home to do office work and to cook lunch. Normally all the kids eat in kindergarten, but Sammy was home, so the two of us ate while waiting for the others to return home.
Once they were back, there was not that much time left before we had to leave the house at 2:30 pm. The five of us took the subway and then the tram and arrived at the school early. It was a hot summer day, setting a new record for the earliest 30 degrees Celcius in the year. We went inside, changed shoes, and went inside the gym, where there were already balls lying around everywhere. It's the only class where we can watch and where Sammy can be there too, and he sure enjoys playing with the balls and hoops. I pulled him around with the hoop again, which he loves so much. And we played ball together. I also did so with Tammy in the beginning, and she did really well throwing as well as catching. Emmy was playing with a little girl for a few minutes. Then the free play time in the beginning was over, and all the kids sat down on the mat with the teachers for their initial conversation. They told them about the game they were about to do. There was one shark who was trying to catch fish. All the kids were fish trying to cross the room without the shark touching them. Once you were touched, you were also a shark, until everyone was a shark in the end. The kids were doing really well and enjoyed the game.
Then they put a mat on top of lots of balls and had the kids stand on top while rattling the mat. It was like surfing, and so the kids had fun trying not to fall.
Then they set up a parcours, a big circle, with all kinds of equipment, and the kids went round and round having fun. They jumped and balanced and threw balls. And then the class was already over. While they shout "sports is fun" in their other exercise class, they shouted "ball school" in this exercise class.
We left the building, and as my 4:30 pm student had canceled, we had some time. They had asked me many times whether they could go on the playground right there, and now the time had finally come. They enjoyed climbing up and sliding down. After a few minutes we moved on to go to the public playground around the corner.
We had been to that playground a few times before, but it had been a while. There were lots of kids there. They went straight to the slide, while Sammy wanted to swing. I waited with him for the swing to become available, then he went in and had fun swinging. After a while he came out, and when the round swing became available, we went there. Tammy wanted to join her brother, and so I was pushing them both to swing as high as possible. After they were done, I took Sammy to the seats on springs, and all three were there at one time, but they soon moved on to other stuff. Randy took Sammy and took him back to the swing one more time. Emmy then wanted to swing as well and got to swing on the normal swing next to his brother. Emmy has figured out how to gain speed while swinging, while that is still hard for Tammy.
Then we decided it was time to go home. We took the tram and then the subway and got home around 5 pm. That gave me a little time to get ready for my 5:30 pm student. Randy took the kids downstairs to play. After I was done teaching at 6:20, I went to the kitchen to make their dinner.
