HEALING 2 THE NATIONS INTERNATIONAL
Ask of Me, and I will make the nations your inheritance. (Ps 2:8)
Day 1683. After a very successful first day in kindergarten, where I had gone with them for their sakes, but also to show Randy the way, Randy had to take them by himself on the second day yesterday. It ended up being a total disaster, and I regretted not having gone with them again. Everyone was stressed and aggravated in the end. The kids still shared how much they had enjoyed it.
Randy left with Tammy and Emmy at 3:15 pm to take them to their exercise class, while I stayed home with Sammy. He constantly needed something from me, so I didn't get much done. Randy and the kids returned at 5:40, which is when I had to start teaching. Their behavior had upset Randy even more, so nobody was happy. It was a tough day.
Because of the disaster yesterday, I had decided to go with them again today and moved my morning student to 30 minutes later than planned. I had the best night since getting sick and was surprised when neither one of the kids came to join me in bed, which is one reason I slept so much better. Emmy only came in the morning, just before the alarm went off at 7:15. Randy then got up to make their breakfast, and it took until 7:45 before everyone was at the table eating oatmeal. I got up as well and got myself ready, then I got the kids ready to leave the house. At 8:15 we all left the house together.
We rode the subway for two stops to Sammy's kindergarten, dropped him off, and turned around to take the subway back the way we came but not getting off at our house. We rode it a few more stops, then got off and got on the tram that we needed to ride for 10 stops. There had been some droplets of rain, but when we got off the tram and still had to walk a little, it wasn't raining, thankfully. We reached the kindergarten at the perfect time of 9:10 am or so. They took their coats and shoes off and were off inside the room to play. Randy and I left to return home.
Just before 10 am we were back home. I was very tired, but I opened up my computer and prepared my 10:30 class. I then taught for an hour, then for another hour. It was 12:20, when I was done, but I knew I had only a few minutes. Randy had decided he was gonna get Sammy first and drop him off at home, and then go to get the other kids. That meant being picked up half an hour earlier, at 12:30, which was always his pickup time anyway, while Tammy and Emmy stay an extra hour at the kindergarten, meaning they won't be as rushed to be done with lunch, when we pick them up. It also means I have less time to myself, as Sammy already gets home at 12:40 pm, so an hour earlier. We then had just over an hour together before Randy returned with the other two kids. We played, and he kept me busy. I was glad once everyone was home. Tammy and Emmy had had a great time again, and the additional hour made no difference at all to them. I was so tired I needed to take a nap to make it through the afternoon. Tammy and Emmy were on their tablets, even though Emmy said he was tired and needed a nap, but then he preferred the tablet. At about 2 pm I finally closed my eyes after setting my timer. It took a while, but I finally fell asleep and got to sleep a few minutes. Also because Randy had taken the kids downstairs, making it all quiet upstairs. When my alarm went off, I got up to get myself ready to go. Then Randy brought Sammy usptairs and put his pants and shoes on. At 3 pm I left with him.
He was really happy that I was the one to go with him to physiotherapy this time, not Daddy. Randy left the house with Tammy and Emmy at 3:45 pm to take them to their dance class. Sammy and I took two subways, and I even let the old train go one time as the next train was a new one and only 2 minutes away. We got to the physiotherapist's place a few minutes before his session was to start. It was his third session there since the long break, and my first one in quite some time. We're now back because Sammy's physiotherapist at the center has retired.
Sammy had a good time playing for the next 45 to 50 minutes. He crawled up the steps, stood or sat and played with blocks and balls and animals. All the while the therapist made sure he was in a correct position. Sammy was having fun, and then the time was already up. He didn't even want to stop playing, but he had no choice as the next client was already in the waiting room. We said our good-byes and walked back to the subway, then took two subways home. Again, we skipped the old trains and only took new trains, as we were not in a rush. By 5:15 pm we were back home.
Sammy was right away asking for Daddy, and I told him he'd have to wait some time for him to get home. I tried to keep him busy and happy, but one time he even cried for Daddy. I was able to distract him and get him laughing again. He was sitting by the CD player and steering it for a while. Two new music CDs had arrived for him today, so he was happy to explore them. But he was still asking for Daddy. I was really glad, when the others returned home at 6:15 pm, which was later than when I had expected them. I was so tired but didn't get to rest, nor did I get any work done.
After a few minutes of them being home, I went to the kitchen to make their dinner. They ate some, then more in the bathtub, then we got them ready for bed. I read them a few stories, prayed for them, cuddled, they brushed their teeth and went to bed. I went to the kitchen to cut up a salad for the first time since getting sick. I was back and craving it, able to make the time for it. After I was done eating, I worked on the pictures, then started writing. Now it's going on 1 am, and I can't even keep my eyes open any more. It's time to take care of the dishes and then go to bed. It's a long day of teaching tomorrow. Yesterday I was so extremely tired that I had no choice but to go to bed at 10:30 pm. Imagine that!
