HEALING 2 THE NATIONS INTERNATIONAL
Ask of Me, and I will make the nations your inheritance. (Ps 2:8)
Day 1616. On Thursday afternoon I started getting sick, and I then had a terrible night. On Friday I woke up with an eye infection. Thankfully Randy still had some creme he was given by the doctor, when he had one a few months ago, and I was amazed at how quickly it helped. But I've felt pretty miserable since, with painful earaches at times, and all my sinusses being completely stuffed up. And so Randy took Emmy and Tammy to their dance class on Friday, while I stayed home with Sammy. I was thankful that I didn't have any students that afternoon.
On Saturday Randy took Tammy and Emmy to piano class, while I stayed home with Sammy, and they all had leftovers after they returned. We had planned to go to church in the afternoon, but I was too sick.
We were also gonna stay home on Sunday because I was sick. But I didn't like much what I was hearing from them, while they were playing downstairs. It seemed like they needed to get out of the house. I thought I could do it, and so we spontaneously decided to go to church. We had to get them dressed right away and left a few minutes later.
We got to church just after the service had started at 5 pm. Tammy and Emmy went foward, got some streamers, but then preferred coloring, once the papers and crayons were available. They were having fun. Sammy stayed with me. At 5:30 it was time to go to children's church. Sammy did not want to leave me, so I went with them to take them there. It was Randy's turn to stay with them, which I was thankful for, as I was feeling miserable. Because of the spontaneous decision to come, I had not been able to make them a dinner box, so they just had quick snacks to eat. I returned to the sanctuary and enjoyed the worship and what came after. My friend saw right away how sick I was and prayed for me. And then they had a time of prayer for the sick during the service, which I was thankful for.
While the preaching was going on, Randy suddenly arrived with Sammy who had asked to be with me. So I held him for some time, but he wasn't too happy. Then he asked for Daddy, so I took him back to kids' church. Randy then said their program was done and suggested we'd go home, which I thought was a good idea. While we were putting our coats on, Anna arrived. Sammy had been asking for her, but he wasn't feeling so well, and so he was rather indifferent. Both he and Tammy said they had bellyaches. We said good-bye and walked to the subway. I was feeling pretty miserable by then. I let the kids have my phone to watch videos and closed my eyes. We had to take two subways and got home at 7:40 pm.
Since the kids had only had snacks, I made three soft-boiled eggs, which they've discovered they like during our vacation. They had those, then some fruit, then we got them ready for bed. Sammy fell asleep quickly. I told Tammy and Emmy that it was too late for a story, which made Tammy cry. I then agreed to lie down with them and told them I'd tell them a story. And I did. I made up a story that was a modern version of King Solomon threatening to cut the babies in two to find out who the real mother was. They loved it, but it sure kept them up. I stayed a few more minutes, then left with Tammy's permission. But she still wanted her brother to stay, which he did. I made my soup and sat down to eat it, when Tammy came crying. She wanted to lie down next to me. I told her I hadn't even eaten my soup yet and said no. And Randy said it was hurting his hear to hold her. He then ended up holding her hand, while she was in her own be, and soon fell asleep. It was already late.
Randy already wanted to go to bed at 11 pm, and as I was feeling miserable and didn't want to take my computer to the kitchen, I went to bed as well. It's very rare for me to go to bed this early.
