HEALING 2 THE NATIONS INTERNATIONAL
Ask of Me, and I will make the nations your inheritance. (Ps 2:8)
Day 1465. I had my alarm set for 7:45, but never heard it, as I fell asleep again after everyone was up and left me alone. I woke up after 8 am and quickly got up, as I had an 8:30 student. I taught until 9:30, while Randy was eating breakfast with the kids. Then it was time to go to the pool; there was no one else there. We had lots of fun in the water.
Back in our apartment, I started cooking right away, and just after noon we sat down to eat. They were all hungry and ate really well. I then had to sit down by my computer, as I had a 12:30 lesson to teach, then I did some more work. It was after 2 pm, when I told the kids it was time to lay down for their nap. Yesterday had been a disaster, but thank God, today was a lot easier. Sammy fell asleep immediately, which forced the other two to be more quiet than usual, as Sammy was in the middle. It took some time, but then they finally also fell asleep. I worked some more and also lay down after 3 pm.
Everyone got some good sleep, and I didn't even want to get up but the kids would not let me stay in bed. I got up and got everyone and everything ready for us to go to the beach, like we had done yesterday. And we left as late as yesterday, at about 5 pm.
We started walking down the street, then along the ocean to get to where there was sand and not just rocks. It was a good walk. They were excited, when we had made it, and we stopped at the same place as yesterday. They started working immediately, using their buckets and shovels to build and to get water. The water was really cold, but there was a good number of surfers riding the waves. I sat down on the ground and also built a sand castle. I used the stones all around to fortify it. We were all having fun. Randy stood in the waves with Sammy, who then joined me as he wanted to be with me.
At some point we had to pack up and return to the hotel. Tammy did not want to leave and started crying and continued crying, as we walked away. I guess she enjoys the beach and the ocean as much as I do. It was a good-bye for us for an unknown amount of time, as we don't know when we get to be by the ocean again. We walked along the ocean, then walked inland to get to our hotel.
We first went to our room to wash the sand off, then we went into the swimming pool. We were the only ones there, and we were having lots of fun. They've become really good swimmers, and they all love jumping and diving. Sammy always puts his face into the water to dive. All three wanted me to throw them into the air so they could fall back into the water. Eventually it was time to leave and return to our room.
After our quick shower, we sat down at the dining room table to eat. We still had lots of leftovers from lunch, which was pasta with meat & tomato sauce. They ate well again, but were eager to play or watch on their tablets. I cut up the rest of the watermelon for them to eat.
At 8:30 it was time to get them ready for bed. I read them a bedtime story, then prayed for them. Sammy was messing around a little, but after I moved him, he got quiet, and soon all three fell asleep. I was sitting by the computer at the desk right by them and working. At 11 pm I had a student until midnight, then I continued working. Now it's 1 am, and I should also head to bed. Randy went to bed real early tonight. Tomorrow we start our long journey back to Mississippi.
