HEALING 2 THE NATIONS INTERNATIONAL
Ask of Me, and I will make the nations your inheritance. (Ps 2:8)
Day 1587. Yesterday I had a student at 10 am, but that was the only thing written on our calendar. The kids spent the day playing, while I continued doing office work and making progress in trying to finish up the year that way.
This morning we left the house at 11 am. Our insurance had approved the diapers for Sammy after the doctor had written a paper that he needs them, but as it was our first time getting them this way, we still had to figure out how to do it. The insurance had told me about two different places where to get it, and as the first one was a fail, we all headed together to the second one, to a location near where we were going. They even had them in the store, but we were not ready to take that many boxes of diapers with us, so Randy is going to pick them up on Tuesday.
We then headed to the nearby McDonald's for lunch. We had a good time together, then waited for the tram right ouside the restaurant. It took quite some time for it to arrive. We then rode it for 4 stops and walked to the movie theater that we've been to before, when they have these special movies for kids. We picked up our reserved tickets, then Randy stood in line to buy some popcorn. We got some nice seats, and at 1 pm the movie started. Now that they don't take a nap at lunch time any more, we can actually do a movie at 1 pm. It was Randy who fell asleep during it, while I got really sleep during the last few minutes of the movie. I had Tammy to my left and Emmy to my right, and for some of the time I had Sammy on my lap. The kids were enjoying the nice movie of the bear trying to help the moon get back to the sky after he had fallen on the earth.
After 70 minutes the movie was over and we left the theater to go home. At least we adults were pretty tired. We rode the tram to the subway, and Sammy was happy that it was a new train that we rode home. At 3 pm we were back home.
Tired or not, I felt the weight of all the office work yet to be accomplished on my shoulders and needed to get to it. Randy went downstairs with the kids. At 6 pm they returned upstairs, and Tammy and Emmy ended up next to me so they could hook up Emmy's tablet that needed charging. I then got so tired that I closed my eyes for a few minutes. At 6:30 I got up to make their dinner. They ate, then ate some more in the bathtub. Then we got them ready for bed. I read them a bedtime story, they brushed their teeth after having had some chocolate, I prayed for them, and they went to bed. Randy sat down by them, while I went to the kitchen to make myself a salad. I then sat down to eat, then continued working. Now it's midnight, and I hope to make it to bed soon.
