Day 1606. As always, the boys were up a few minutes before the alarm went off at 7:30 am. We got up, got dressed, and went to breakfast. After they were done eating, the kids went to the playroom, then we went there as well and took them upstairs to the room at 8:45.

Before we even stepped on the elevator, the whining started. Especially Tammy threw a big fit, hiding under a blanket and refusing to put her ski clothes on, because she didn't want to go to skiing. It was a challenge to get her ready. Once Emmy and Tammy were ready, I went downstairs with them so they would not be too hot. We waited right outside the hotel's entrance for Randy and Sammy who came a few minutes later. We then walked to the bus stop, where we had another 10 minutes to wait. Tammy and Emmy were playing with the snow there on the bank of the road. It was extremely warm today, above freezing, and so there was a lot of ice everywhere.

We got on the bus and rode the few minutes to the skiing resort. Then we started our walk up to the ski school hut, which was also harder today because the ground was so slippery. It was as if there was a cover of ice on top of the snow, which was a challenge, when the hill got steeper. But we made it to the hut, where the kids both needed to go to the bathroom first thing. That is also a challenge with all the skiing gear, as I had to take a lot of their clothes off for them to go. Then I put their ski boots on and their gloves, and off we went. We found their skis already out, and they put them on. Then they had to go to the moving carpet that took them up the big hill. Again, it was pretty slippery, and I didn't envy the kids having to ski in those conditions. But they later said that it was fine. We watched them get on the carpet and get up the hill. Sammy was crying once again, and I tried to cheer him up, which worked as long as I kept up the work. I was hoping to see the kids come down the hill, but we had to leave to catch the bus before they did. It was a shame.

We cautiously went down the hill again, and Randy actually fell with Sammy once. We made the 10:15 bus and got to the hotel a few minutes later. We took our warm clothes off, and I went to the playroom with Sammy. He wanted to go up the ladder and down the slide into the ball pit, and so I helped him do that. He was having fun. Then he played with the car he so enjoys. I was pretty tired and lay down on the ground, while he was playing. Eventually Randy joined us, and at 12:20 pm the kids returned from ski school with the hotel van. They were happy to see me. I took all their clothes off, and they ran off to play, and also ate with all the kids in the playroom. Randy, Sammy and I went to the open fire room, where Sammy got his hotel plate of food, while Randy and I ordered soup for ourselves. We ate and then joined the kids in the playroom.

I didn't stay long, as I was very tired, and went to the room, where I lay down for a while. Then I returned downstairs. I found Sammy surrounded by girls, who all wanted to see the children's songs he was watching on his tablet. Randy then went to the room to rest, while I stayed with the kids. They were having lots of fun, also with some other kids, and I ended up building two houses for them, which they were really excited about. At 3 pm the crafts time started, and Tammy made a beautiful bracelet. Emmy didn't really want to make any jewelery.

When 4 pm was approaching, we all left the room to return to our room to get ready to go swimming. We got Randy out of bed and all put our bathing suits on, then we went to the pool. It was the fullest we had ever seen it all week, with lots of families there. Still, we had lots of fun together. Tammy and Emmy kept diving and jumping into the water, and I helped them make somersaults forward and backward in the water. They sure love the water.

After a while Tammy said that it was too loud for her, with all the kids making noise. It was time to get out of the water. We went to the room, got dressed and went back to the playroom. Once again Randy stayed in the room, while I was in the play area with the children. They were having fun and were playing hard with one particular girl. It was fun watching them. Then Tammy started getting really hungry, but the first time she came to me, it was only 5:15 pm, and dinner started at 6 pm. She sat with me for a while, as she was clearly also tired. It wasn't 6 pm yet, when we left to go to the dinner room. I was probably the first one at the buffet, when I got Tammy a plate of food, then I got food for the others. Tonight they had a buffet for everybody, which was a nice change. We enjoyed our food, then they turned their tablets on after having eaten. We got a complaint that they were too loud, so we turned them down, which Sammy didn't like at all. After icecream for the kids, and dessert for us, we all left to return to our room.

We got them ready for bed, I read them a story, prayed for them, and soon they were all asleep. It wasn't even quite 8 pm yet. I then turned my computer on to work on today's picures and write my report. Tonight I'm done earlier, which is a nice change. Tomorrow it's already our last day at the hotel, and the day the kids have their race at ski school.
