HEALING 2 THE NATIONS INTERNATIONAL
Ask of Me, and I will make the nations your inheritance. (Ps 2:8)
Day 1603. Sammy was up at 6 am this morning, but I got him to be quiet until 7 am. Then sleeping was over for good. I had to bring him into our bed, where Tammy was also sleeping. Emmy actually stayed in his bed all night tonight! The alarm went off at 7:30, and then we got up for good. Just minutes later we were ready to go to breakfast. The kids were already whining that they did not want to go skiing today. We had a nice breakfast, then the kids wanted to play in the playroom, and as we still had time, we let them play for 15 minutes. Then we went to the room, where I put their snowsuits on them. The whole time they were whining that they did not want to go skiing. I just ignored them and continued on. When we were about to leave the room, Sammy was already crying, as he and Randy were staying at the hotel. I told him I'd just drop the kids off and come back. Then three of us left rather early.
We walked to the bus stop, where the kids stopped their whining for a short time, as they were enjoying the snow there and throwing snowballs across the street. It was actually snowing a little. At 9:25 am the bus finally came. The kids continued their whining in the bus and after we got off. Together we walked across the parking lot and up the stairs and then to skischool area, all with them crying for much of the time. We walked straight to the hut, where their ski boots were and where I put them on their feet. Then we walked back down the hill and picked up their skies in the storage room on the way to their ski area. The teachers were already all there. I put their skies on them and still had some time to watch and take pictures. They were doing really well, now able to brake, and Tammy told me later that she actually got to go to another slope today, but not Emmy. Just after 10 am I left them to make the 10:15 bus back to the hotel.
I was on a video call with Sammy again, who was crying for me. I went straight to our room, where I found them, and Sammy was really happy to see me. Then I took him downstairs to the playroom, where we were having fun together. After some time we returned to the room, where Randy was. And at 12:15 we went downstairs, as the kids were about to come home. The hotel has a service picking up the little ones from ski school, so that was really nice. Randy and Sammy sat down in the open fire room, while I ordered two soups and a sandwich, then walked to the exit as the little bus had arrived. I could hear Emmy before I saw him. He was all talkative and lively, and they were both glad to see me. I took their shoes off, and we walked inside to the rest of the family, where I took more of the equipment off of them. They wanted to go play, so I let them. Then Emmy said he wanted to eat with us, while Tammy wanted to eat with the other kids. When the food didn't come, Emmy left us again to eat with all the kids, as they already had their food. The rest of us ate the food we had, then we joined the kids in the playroom. They were playing in the ballpen, but also with all kinds of other stuff. Then the teacher read them two stories that Tammy attentively listened to.
At 2:15 pm I suggested that we'd go swimming so they could be back for the crafts at 3 pm. So we went to the room, where Randy was, and all put our swimsuits on, including Randy, and went to the pool. We were all having fun together, then returned to our room and got dressed again. It was 3:15 before we were back in the game room for crafts. Tammy and Emmy joined them right away. Tammy made one little doll, while Emmy ended up making three, one for me and one for Daddy as well. He was proud of it and so happy to give us a gift. Then they continued playing with the toys. I was so very tired, that I lay down on the floor and fell asleep for a while. Later Sammy also fell asleep on the mat and slept for quite some time. It was a long afternoon without anything special going on.
Eventually the teacher did an action song with them, to practice for the arrival of Donki, the hotel's mascot donkey. Last year the boys were still scared of him, but this year Emmy was not any more. Donki came and danced a few dances with them that they enjoyed. Then he posed with each child for pictures. Then it was 6 pm and time for dinner.
The kids had been pretty hungry two hours earlier and had had some snacks, so they didn't eat that much for dinner. We had our three-course-meal that was good. We stayed for quite some time, then returned to our room. I got the kids ready for bed; Sammy fell asleep right away. The other two still wanted a story told first. By 8 pm they were also in bed and soon asleep. It was time for me to open the computer up and work on the pictures and on the report. Now it's 11:20 pm, and I'm the only one up, but I'm also so very tired, that I had to go to the couch and table to sit and write so I don't fall asleep quite as easily.
