HEALING 2 THE NATIONS INTERNATIONAL
Ask of Me, and I will make the nations your inheritance. (Ps 2:8)
Day 1602. Sammy was up just before the alarm went off at 7:15 this morning. We all got up and went to breakfast. They had a big buffet, and so everyone got to eat what they like. Then we returned to our room to put our ski clothes on. Tammy and Emmy kept saying that they did not want to go skiing. Sammy wasn't happy either. We had to make the 8:50 bus, so we all rushed to get ready so we'd make it.
But then the bus was a few minutes late. While we were waiting, the milk truck pulled up and pumped the milk out of the container sitting there. Then the bus finally arrived, and we rode the few minutes to the skiing resort on it. We then went to the ski school first, where the kids got their helmets and jackets. Then we went into the shop to get their rental shoes and skis. Then it was time to head to where the ski school was by the slopes, where they teach. It was a challenge with the wheelchair, as there were a few staircases to overcome. When we reached the school, the teachers were already gathered and waiting for their students. And they recognized Tammy and Emmy. We walked to where they had a little slope and moving mat to get them back up, and the teachers started with getting a big parachute out and having them move it up and down and walk in a circle. Nice warm-up.
Then it was time to put the skis on, and the teachers had them go down one after another, then back up, and down again. They were doing really well. But Sammy was not. He was crying really hard, whenever I was not right there with him. And he was saying that he was cold. It soon became clear that we couldn't stay there, so we said good-bye and walked away with Sammy. We had to wait quite some time for our bus, then we got on and rode it back to the hotel. We stayed in our room for a while, then I left to take the 11:50 bus back to the skiing resort to pick up the children. Randy took Sammy to the playroom, but all he wanted was me, and so he was crying hard, as usual.
The bus was once again late. After I got off, I went straight ot the ski school area and was relieved to see that they were not done yet. It was supposed to be over by noon, but they went nearly until 12:30 pm. Up and down they went, and I was impressed to see that they had learned how to break. Now they just need to go up a real slope.
Eventually I made the kids stop, so we could put the skis up in the room there, and change them into their regular shoes. The bus was leaving at 12:45, and as little as it was running, we had to make it. We left the shoes in the ski school hut, and walked down the slope to go to the bus stop. While there, my phone rang. It was Randy who called because Sammy was crying so hard. And so we had a video phone call together until the bus arrived. Then we got on and rode the few stops. When we got off at our hotel, there was Randy with Sammy who was really happy to see us. We went to our room, got out of the skiing clothes, and went back downstairs to have something to eat.
However, we were told that the kitchen staff had already gone home, so that there was no food we could order. Tammy refused to eat any of the bread with salami, but the boys did. They then had some snacks in our room later, but first they went to the play area to play. I got so tired that I lay down on the floor. By 2:30 we decided to all go to our room and get some rest.
We made the room dark and lay down. The kids were on their beds with their tablets, while Randy and I slept or tried to sleep. Emmanuel eventually fell asleep, which was good, but his siblings didn't sleep, even though they were also tired.
At 4 pm I woke up Emmy, and we all put our bathing suits on and the four of us left to go swimming, leaving Randy in bed resting. We were all having lots of fun in the water, when Randy suddenly showed up. He sat down on a bed and was watching us in the water, and also took a few pictures. Just after 5 pm we left, just like pretty much everybody else.
We returned to our room, got dressed, and then went back downstairs - the kids to the playroom with Randy, while I went to the room where they were about to do a greeting meeting for all the guests. We were given a glass of champagne, then heard the owners speak for a few minutes. They didn't really say anything I didn't already know. It only lasted a few minutes, then I joined the kids in the playroom. They were having fun playing, but there was a little boy who was rather mean. At 6 pm we left to go to the dinner room for dinner.
I got the kids some food from the kids' buffet, and they ate right away. They were somewhat hungry. Then I got myself some soup, salad and cheese. The kids were done eating before we were served our first course. They had some icecream still, and they were on their tablets watching stuff. We were then served all our courses, and also got some dessert for the kids that they partly ate. Then we finally got to leave and return to our room.
We got them ready for bed right away. They were so very tired! Tammy was crying, when I said I wasn't going to read a story, so I ended up reading one after all. Then I prayed for them, and Tammy fell asleep right away. So did Sammy. Emmy needed a litlte longer, as he'd had a nap. I turned my computer on to download my pictures and write my report. And I was so tired that I repeatedly fell asleep doing all that. Now it's 11 pm, and I've made it and can go to bed.
